Winner of two of her five starts and currently rated 84. Gained her latest win on her seasonal reappearance at Wolverhampton (1m 1½f) in March when beating Lordsbridge Blu by half a length off a mark of 80.

Trainer says

She won nicely at Wolverhampton early on this season but then was disappointing at Newbury. I can’t really say why to be honest, but we tried her up in trip and I don’t think it was the distance that beat her. She has had a couple of little niggles since, but she’s on her way back now. I still think there’s some sort of juice in her mark and it was her first run on turf when she disappointed, but I don’t think that was the excuse. I would like to think we will get her back on track in August.

Winner of six of his 34 starts and currently rated 88. Made a winning seasonal reappearance at Salisbury (1m 6f) in May when beating Anniversary by three quarters of a length off a mark of 84.

Trainer says

He’s a bit of an older star - he’s now a 10-year-old, but he won well at Salisbury. He’s had a few niggles over the years, and he did have an entry at Newbury last Saturday, but the ground was too quick for him. There are one or two races over the next couple of weeks, but we would need a drop of rain, so we’ll have to be patient with him.

Trainer says

She obviously won a couple of Listed races last year on the soft in France, and she’s another one who is desperate for some juice in the ground. I think she ran a tidy race in a Group 3 in France in May, and then I ran her up at Carlisle, but she actually didn’t stay up there. She will drop back to 10 furlongs and try to pick up some more black type.

Made a winning seasonal reappearance in the Listed Magnolia Stakes at Kempton (1m 2f) in April before running the best race of his career when finishing runner-up, beaten a neck, to Ombudsman in the Group 3 Brigadier Gerard Stakes at Sandown (1m 2f) the following month. Disappointed subsequently when only fifth, beaten 15 lengths, behind Constitution River in the Group 1 Coral-Eclipse Stakes on his return to Sandown (1m 2f) earlier this month.

Trainer says

It just didn’t happen for him at Sandown in the Eclipse. There were probably a few factors - he was a little bit on edge beforehand, they went very hard early, and it was a messy race from our point of view. He’s come out of it well and we’re just giving him a bit of a break now, as he’s another who wouldn’t want it too quick. He’s a big lad, so we might go to the September Stakes at Kempton in September with a view to potentially then going to the Arc.

Winner of two of her five starts and currently rated 92. Finished last of 11, beaten nine and a quarter lengths, behind Pina Sonata in the Listed Snowdrop Fillies’ Stakes at Kempton (1m) in March.

Trainer says

She’s a filly who ran in a Listed race at the start of the season, but unfortunately she picked up a little injury. She is back in the yard now and is another who would appreciate some nicer ground. She’s a long way off being fit, but hopefully she’ll be in shape by the time some nicer ground comes along. It is important to try to get a bit of black type for her, and I think she’s certainly up to it.

Shown promise in three runs and currently rated 62. Finished runner-up, beaten seven lengths, to Ottoman on her handicap bow at Leicester (1m 4f) last Tuesday.

Trainer says

She finished second at Leicester last Tuesday, and although the winner won well, we did get locked up three and a half furlongs out. We were beaten seven lengths, but she wasn’t rolling when she should have been rolling. She is a half-sister to Alfred Boucher, and we will probably step her up in trip at some stage to a mile-six. She should be winning something somewhere.

Has run well in both starts for the stable, finishing runner-up, beaten a head, to Serengeti at Windsor (1m 2f) in May off her current mark and then fourth, beaten three and three-quarter lengths, behind Coedana in a Listed fillies’ stakes at Pontefract (1m 4f) in June.

Trainer says

She is a Polish-bred filly, and she won the Polish Oaks last year and finished third in a Listed race in France. She was unlucky first time out at Windsor, where she probably should have won. She then finished fourth in a Listed fillies’ stakes Pontefract, where she got too far back at a place where it is hard to make up ground. She is in a handicap at Ascot on Friday, and then we will be looking to get some more black type after that.

Winner of two of her eight starts and currently rated 89. Off the mark for the stable on his second outing at Newbury (1m 2f) in June when beating Twisting Physics by a nose off a mark of 81. Subsequently finished fourth, beaten three quarters of a length, behind Rosa Inglesa in a 1m fillies’ handicap at Ascot earlier this month.

Trainer says

She was fourth at Ascot earlier this month, and I thought it was a really good run trying to give lumps of weight away to a few three-year-olds. The winner and the third were placed in the Sandringham, while the Sir Mark Prescott filly that finished second, we were trying to give her nearly a stone and a half. That was her first try back at a mile, as we thought that a mile and a quarter was stretching her. I think she’s probably got a little bit quicker as she’s got older.

Trainer says

She was in at Newbury last Friday, but she’s another that wants a drop of rain. She’s a horse that Richard Hughes trained last year, and she won and then finished behind a nice filly of mine in Waardah at Goodwood. She ran well first time out at Goodwood in May when giving a bit of weight away to some three-year-olds, and then she probably wasn’t suited by Chester when they went quite hard. It didn’t suit us dropping back in trip, and I think she really wants a mile and a half with a bit of juice in the ground. There are potential targets for her abroad as well.

Winner of five of his eight starts and currently rated 111. Returned to winning form on his latest start in a Group 3 at Chantilly (1m) in June when beating Elastic by half a length.

Trainer says

He won well at Chantilly last month after a nice prep in the Paradise Stakes. That race just took a little bit out of him, and so we have the Celebration Mile at Goodwood at the end of August in line for him. He’s done nothing wrong, and hopefully he can continue on an upward path.

Winner of one of her 11 starts and currently rated 76, having finished runner-up in two of her three starts for the stable. Most recently beaten four and a half lengths by Grizedale at Newbury (1m) earlier this month off her current mark.

Trainer says

She has run two cracking races the last twice at Newbury, finishing second both times. I keep managing to bump into one of Richard Hannon's, with River King going on to finish a close fifth at Royal Ascot and now being rated 90-plus, while the Kubler winner also looks pretty smart. It shouldn’t be long before she gets her head in front, though.

She’s another filly who appreciates a bit of juice in the ground, so it’s not her time at the moment. She won a Listed race and the Lily Langtry at Goodwood last year, while her run at Carlisle has been franked by Estrange, who then went and won a Group 1 in Ireland after. She will probably go back to Goodwood for the Lily Langtry, and then there’s potentially a few races for her in France before going back to Doncaster for the Park Hill Stakes. There’s also a Group 1 on Leger week in France that I have my eye on for her as well. If it was very soft for the Fillies’ & Mares’ Stakes on Champions Day, that wouldn’t be without consideration either.

Made a pleasing winning debut at Leicester (1m 2f) last Tuesday when scoring by a length and a quarter over Cloud Forest.

Trainer says

The owner has been very patient with him, and his patience was rewarded when he won at Leicester last Tuesday. He’s a lovely, big horse who has had one or two niggles, which is why he has only just made his debut. He was fine the morning after his race, and we won’t be getting too excited at this stage - we will probably go for another novice with a penalty.

Winner of one of his four starts and currently rated 80. Made a winning debut for the stable in a 7½f novice at Lingfield in May when defeating Weffaag by a length and subsequently finished third, beaten a length and a half, behind Cristo at Sandown (1m) earlier this month.

Trainer says

He was third at Sandown a couple of weeks ago, and I was slightly annoyed with myself for stretching him out to a mile as he didn’t quite get home. He ran a solid race and there are some options for him moving forward. He could go back to Sandown on August 7th for a seven-furlong handicap or back to Lingfield a couple of days later. He’s a fine, big horse, and so I wouldn’t want to over-race him on fast ground. He is going to get better as he gets stronger, and I think seven furlongs is his trip for now.

Won both her starts this season, first scoring by a length over Zoulette on her seasonal reappearance at Leicester (7f) in May off a mark of 49 before following up with a half-length success over Musical Soldier at Chepstow (7f) in July off a mark of 54.

Trainer says

She’s two-from-two this season, and she is a very honest little filly who has been given a chance by the handicapper. He put her up a pound for winning at Chepstow earlier this month, and I think stepping her up to a mile will bring about a little bit more improvement.

Winner of one of his four starts and currently rated 90. Off the mark with a half-length victory over Besieged at Newbury (1m 2f) in May and subsequently finished fourth, beaten three lengths, behind Enceladus in the King George V Stakes at Royal Ascot (1m 4f) in June off a mark of 85.

Trainer says

He’s had three runs and won at Newbury, in what turned out to be quite a decent race. He then went to Royal Ascot and finished fourth in the King George V, which was a solid run for a horse with very limited experience. He has subsequently been gelded and is another you wouldn’t want to keep running on fast ground. If everything goes to plan, there might be a race at Goodwood for him.

She has a couple of entries on Saturday [finished second in a 1m ½f fillies’ novice at Nottingham before publication]. She’s slowly getting the hang of things, and I thought she ran a tidy race at Sandown last time. She was a fraction slow away that day and ended up being a bit too far back. I think she will step up to 10 furlongs soon, and off her mark of 73, I would like to think we can find the right race to get her head in front shortly.

Winner of two of his seven starts and currently rated 63. Made a winning debut for the stable when beating Galactic Glow by a neck off a mark of 60 at Chepstow (1m) earlier this month.

Trainer says

He won at Chepstow earlier this month on his first run for us. He was previously trained in Ireland with Joseph O’Brien, and fair play to him, he said to the owner that there would be more opportunities for him in England. He’s gone up 3lb for that win, but I think he will be competitive in 0-65s.

Made a winning reappearance in the bet365 Classic Trial at Sandown (1m 2f) in April when scoring by three and a quarter lengths over Al Zanati, and subsequently finished fourth, beaten eight lengths, behind Benvenuto Cellini in the Group 1 Irish Derby at the Curragh (1m 4f) at the end of June.

Trainer says

He finished fourth in the Irish Derby after winning the Sandown Classic Trial. He is just a big, immature horse, and that is why I couldn’t back him up to Epsom. He’s back and being ridden now, but he found the ground a bit quick in Ireland and so won’t be racing on that sort of ground again. He is a full brother to Hukum and Baaeed, and I feel he is in a similar mould. He could potentially get a mile and a half next year as he gets older, but for now we’ll be sticking to a mile and a quarter with him.

Winner of one of his four starts and currently rated 78. Having his first run since being gelded when finishing fifth, beaten five and a quarter lengths, behind Tambora at Sandown (1m 2f) earlier this month off a mark of 80.

Trainer says

He won first time out as two-year-old at Wolverhampton in December, and I was a little bit disappointed when he ran at Ascot in May and finished third. He was a bit keen that day, so we ended up gelding him. We then had to drop him in at Sandown to make sure he settled, but then he was vulnerable as they didn’t go over quick. He was a running-on fifth that day and did everything right. He is a bit of a work in progress, but I’ll be disappointed if he can’t be competitive off his current mark.

Winner of two of her six starts and currently rated 112. Looked unlucky not to return to winning form when finishing runner-up, beaten a length and a half, to Precise in the Group 1 Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot (1m) in June after being hampered in the final two furlongs.

Trainer says

She obviously ran a blinder in the Coronation, where she was potentially a little bit unlucky, but who knows? She is going to go back to Ascot for the Group 3 Valiant Fillies’ Stakes over a mile on the Old Mile, the same as the Coronation. She was second in the Fred Darling, fifth in the 1000 Guineas and has some more good runs under her belt. It is important to try to get a stakes win, and then we can go up in class again.

Trainer says

She ran an eye-catching race on her only start as a two-year-old, but I have had a nightmare with her this season. She wasn’t flourishing early on in the spring, and I wasn’t really happy with her work. Probably at the end of May time, it transpired that she had a nasty sinus infection, as she had an infected tooth. We had to get that extracted and the sinus flushed, and she’s back cantering now. I had some lofty targets in mind for her this year, and she is potentially a nice filly. She is by Dubawi out of a Sea The Stars mare, but she’s not short of speed. We will start at a mile, but she will get a mile and a quarter, and hopefully she will come good.

She ran a nice race first time out at Kempton behind a filly who was just beaten in the Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot. Unfortunately she was just a little sore after that and had to go back to Shadwell to have a bit of rehab. She’ll be back by the end of the month, and all being well we’ll have her out again around September time.

He won on his debut at Sandown in June, and he’s a mid-May foal who is only going to get stronger as the year goes on. I did have him in at Sandown a couple of weeks ago, but he just left a bit of food the night before, so we didn’t risk him. He seems fine and A1 now, and he’ll probably end up going for the Listed Pat Eddery Stakes at Ascot. I think he’s a decent horse but obviously a little inexperienced, but I think it will do him good.

He will be ready to go in a couple of weeks, and he shows up nicely at home. He was a late-May foal, and he will start over seven. He isn’t overly big, but he is strong enough, and I am looking forward to getting him out.

He has been a short-priced favourite both times he’s run. He fluffed his lines first time at Newbury and then they went pretty hard in front at Nottingham, and he was the only one of them up front that stayed there as such. He has been gelded since, so he’ll be ready to go early August time, and he shows a decent level of ability at home.
