Expert View Verdict

Verdict

A good-quality handicap, Flying Frontier is well worth another crack at 12f while Merveilleux Lapin has run two good races since joining her current yard and should again go well. It might pay to focus on the 3yo pair, though, with Al Azd setting a good standard following his fine second at Royal Ascot in the King George V Stakes. He loves fast ground and should again be bang there but does have an 8lb rise to deal with and it could be that STUDY OF WORDS comes out on top this time. He hasn't exactly shone in two starts this term but the cheekpieces he's been running in are now removed and he's dropping 2f in trip. As a son of Frankel there's a good chance we've still to see the best of him and he's been dropped 2lb.
