Ascending Star made a winning start for the Owen Burrows yard at Lingfield on his return to the fray and an opening mark of 80 might not be beyond him. Thursday Girl also makes her handicap bow and is noted, but it's SILCA BAY who appeals most. The son of Cable Bay returned to winning ways at Goodwood last month and may have found a good opportunity to complete a double.
ASCENDING STAR made a winning reappearance after a long lay off and now looks well treated tackling handicaps. He should come on for that outing and remains unexposed at 1m. Thursday Girl is another who has been given a lenient opening mark with her penultimate runner up effort franked emphatically. If she's fit and ready to go after a short break she can fill the places with Cristo who may want a bit further nowadays but will be staying on at the finish.
