Placed in three of his five starts this season and came closest to victory when runner-up, beaten half a length, to Aalto in the Bunbury Cup at Newmarket (7f) in July off a mark of 94. Finished 10th, beaten four lengths, to Amazing Journey in the Moet & Chandon International Handicap at Ascot (7f) a week later off the same mark.

Trainer says

He will probably have one more run for us and then is off to Australia. We’re looking at York and there is also a handicap at Goodwood at the end of August. He has had two runs in quick succession so a bit of space between will probably suit him. He showed when second in the Bunbury Cup that one of those top handicaps should fall his way.

Trainer says

She was a beaten favourite a few times, but she put in a very good performance in a Listed Fillies’ at Newmarket last time. We don’t know how strong that form was, but she has always been highly regarded and, hopefully, she can continue to progress through the rest of the year. It’s a great family and we are very happy to get some black type. We are also grateful to Mark Weinfeld for sending such a well-bred filly to us.

Trainer says

He is on holiday at the moment and is probably a better horse on the All-Weather. He ran a good race in the Chipchase, and he will be going for all those listed and conditions race on the All-Weather during the winter.

Trainer says

Nothing fell right for him taking on a slightly better grade of horse in the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot. A few of those classy overseas types have gone home now and when the ground goes on the easier side towards the end of year that is when you will see him to best effect. You have the Haydock Park Sprint and the Champions Sprint as targets at the backend of the season. He is the one we have in the yard that can compete at the highest level so it’s important we have him around and he certainly has lost none of his ability.

Trainer says

He won by a long way on his first start this year and he ran well at Goodwood in May. He is having to go for competitive handicaps now which isn’t always easy, but he has been acquitting himself well. He found the race developing away from him at York and we are just waiting on the ground a little bit for him. He is not going to be one that wants rattling fast ground. We had him the Chesterfield Handicap at Goodwood and he just got balloted out of that and we are just going to have to wait for some rain.

Trainer says

After his Epsom run his bloods were not quite right and he has just taken some time to come right. We had to turn him out for a couple of weeks, and he now looks a million dollars. It was his only run in two years where he hasn’t shown his true form and he has been a fun horse to be part of. He has won nearly £70,000 in prize money and he will be a fresh horse to get out at the start of September. He has only had three runs this year and that could work in his favour on his return.

Unplaced in two runs since making a winning reappearance in the Listed Snowdrop Fillies’ Stakes at Kempton (1m) in March when beating Never Let Go a length and a half but only beaten three and a quarter lengths when fifth to Kon Tiki in the Group 3 Valiant Stakes at Ascot (1m) in July.

Trainer says

She ran well at Ascot and potentially over raced, but looking at the sectionals she also probably had the run of the race. She has her winning black type, and she was always a filly we have regarded highly but she has to do it at the next level yet. When she won on the All-Weather at Kempton she was very impressive so maybe with some more juice in the ground at the backend she can do better.

Winner of five of her 22 starts and currently rated 89. Has won three of her four starts this season and carried on her winning sequence when beating Spioradalta at Ripon (1m 4f) in July off a mark of 84.

Trainer says

She has been a star this year and is three from four. She was a filly last year that was running consistently but didn’t quite reach the heights we thought she could whereas this year she has been delivering. She is a filly that doesn’t do a lot when she gets to the front and it was a nice prize to win the Ripon Bell-Ringer and we can either look to go for some back type, the Shergar Cup or even a race at Hamilton. They did a good job watering that day at Ripon and I don’t think she is going to be one that will want fast ground - good to firm to good to soft would suit.

Winner of seven of her 13 starts and currently rated 106. Gained her last win in the Group 3 Winter Derby at Lingfield (1m 2f) in February when scoring by a neck from Chancellor. Finished third, beaten three and a quarter lengths, to Botagoz in the Group 3 Hoppings Fillies’ Stakes at Newcastle (1m 2f) in June.

Trainer says

She was a lot of fun this winter and ran another solid race in the Hoppings at Newcastle. Life gets a bit tougher now and you are looking at races where she doesn’t get penalties up against good horses. The Prix Jean Romanet at Deauville on August 23 is a race that Dad has always had a great record in and that could be the plan. Whether she is going to have a run beforehand at Haydock on August 8 we will see but the Romanet has been her long-term target.

Winner of two of her 16 starts and currently rated 70. Returned to winning form when scoring by three quarters of a length from Eazy On The Eye in a Fillies’ Handicap at Wolverhampton (7f) in July off a mark of 66.

Trainer says

She returned to form over seven furlongs at Wolverhampton last time and we had been running her mainly over six which was probably the wrong thing to do. She showed improved form from a career-low mark, and she was able to exploit that. Hopefully, she can progress again.

Winner of three of his 19 starts and currently rated 82. A winner and placed in his five outings this season and added to his score when beating Knight Templar a length and three quarters at Southwell (1m 4f) in February off a mark of 75.

Trainer says

He is another like Sky Safari who got our season off to a good start and he was running well in some valuable race all this winter. He is another fun horse to own and have in the stable. As a result of him running consistently well his mark got pushed up a bit to 82. So, we are going to start off on a high enough opening mark but I am sure he will give his owners some fun days out.

She won well twice and has gone up the weights now and, hopefully, can continue to give a good account. She has won over a mile and a quarter but can probably go up to a mile and a half.

She has been running well but just had a little setback after her last run. She is back in training now and will be running towards the end of August/early September. I think there will be quite a few options for her - she has some ability this filly and I could see her being one for those fillies’ handicaps this winter. The long-term plan is to, potentially, aim for the All-Weather Finals at Lingfield or Newcastle.

Trainer says

He has always been a horse we have liked, and we are still learning a bit with him. He won well at Lingfield and then he ran well at Kempton to finish half a length behind Lord Britain who went onto finish fifth in the St James’s Palace Stakes. He then went to Newcastle and was a little bit gassy and he then went to Yarmouth where there was no pace. I think he has more ability than he has shown so far and he needs to settle down a bit in his races. He should find his way in time.

He has been really progressive and is learning as he goes along. We had him in at Goodwood in a three-year-old mile handicap, but he got balloted out. Maybe that wasn’t a bad thing as that kind of test might have come too soon. He is going to be learning and progressing and has plenty of scope. He is the sort of horse that Dad has excelled with in the past.

He is very bred but he’s a hard horse to get a gauge from at home as he’s very laid back. He only goes as well as any horse you work him with. He has the physique to be a nice horse, and he didn’t get the best of runs at Goodwood on Friday but, hopefully, that race will bring him forward mentally.

She is another who has had a good year. She had one run at Lingfield and ran ok but she has just progressed and progressed and now has two bits of black type. She probably wanted a sharper test than she got at York last time and Harry (Davies) was confident that she will definitely be winning a Listed race. I wouldn’t be averse to dropping her back to a mile and sharp mile and a quarter should be within her bounds.

She is another progressive filly this year and since she has gone up in trip she has found improvement. We got away with the quick ground at Yarmouth last time and I would say she is probably better suited to good ground. We are just keeping her ticking over until we get a bit of rain. This little break should do her good as she had quite a bit of racing in a short little time. Hopefully, she can have a good backend of season.

LION OF MALI Winner of four of his 12 starts and currently rated 73. Scoring for the fourth time this year when beating Kimbara half a length at Sandown (7f) in June off a mark of 69. Failed by a neck when runner-up to Sierra Sands at Newmarket (7f) in July off a mark of 72 and ran another good race when runner-up beaten a length and a quarter, to Tryst over the same course and distance.

Trainer says

He has had a great season and has gone up from an original mark of 58 to 73. He doesn’t know how to run a bad race and put another solid effort when runner-up on the July course on Saturday.

Trainer says

He won well at Leicester then didn’t get the right set up at Ascot as he likes to chase a strong pace. He likes to come through horses rather than chasing a steady pace and that is when he will be seen to better effect. We will try and find an easier option for him.

She has been another really progressive filly this year and she can go further. The set up of the race at Hamilton wasn’t suitable and it was almost a sprint the last three furlongs and she wasn’t seen to best effect. We weren’t going to beat the winner, but she has gained some black type which was the important thing. The handicapper has raised her a bit, but I definitely think we could go for one of those premier fillies’ handicaps. There is one at York and good ground will suit her.

She is another filly who has done well, and she comes from a very progressive Meon Valley middle-distance family. She ran a respectable race in a competitive fillies’ handicap at Goodwood on Friday and hopefully, there will be more to come from her.

She won her maiden in the Stewards’ Room at Nottingham. It was handy as she hasn’t been raised by the handicapper as a result. The trip was too short for her, but she will have learnt a lot from it. She has some scope and, hopefully, she can improve.

He is a very sharp son of Inns Of Court and he beat the subsequent Molecomb third when winning under a penalty at Newcastle. He could go for a Listed race at Deauville on Sunday week and we will see how we get on there. It depends on how he settles if he is to get six furlongs but he is pretty sharp. Every day at home you are looking to keep a lid on him and he was quite fiery the early part of the race at Newcastle. He is quite reactive in his races but if he learns to settle and race efficiently, he could easy stay six furlongs. He has a Gimcrack entry.
