James Fanshawe Stable Tour

Group 1 success will be in the cross hairs for The Tin Man as he looks for another success at Ascot in October, and James Fanshawe will be looking for others from his team to further fill the stable's coffers

JAMES FANSHAWE has pulled off more than his fair share of masterstrokes during an illustrious career and came within an ace of doing so once again with The Tin Man in the Sprint Cup at Haydock on Saturday.

The hero of the 2018 Grade 1 contest had been staring at thoughts of retirement after a couple of uneventful performances but Fanshawe had his stable star at the peak of his form for a repeat and whose to know if a slight mishap when he stumbled at the start cost him at the business end as Hello Youzain held on by half a length.

Still that gives high hopes for a crack at the Champions Day Sprint at Ascot on October 19 and there are plenty more from Pegasus Stables that could be making names for themselves in the last few months of the season.

With 41 winners on the board to date it has, numerically, been a very good season for Fanshawe and his team and he kindly spoke to Tony Elves of ATR about his string as a busy week at Doncaster ensues.
