Verdict

Drymee is a typical James Fanshawe improver winning his Lingfield maiden before striking on handicap debut at Newbury. He is likely to have more to offer, but the class-dropping MAN OF VISION gets the vote. A winner over 7f at Wolverhampton in December, he has been tried as a sprinter on all three starts in 2026 and the step up to a mile may be just what he needs, with Toby Moore's 7lb claim a bonus. Looka is also of interest ahead of his handicap debut.

Watch out for: Drymee (7)

DRYMEE is expected to complete the hat trick. He relished the step up to 1m last time and was worth more than the winning margin as he idled in front. The horse he beat that day has won twice since so a 4lb rise looks lenient and he has proven himself versatile ground wise. Go Rimbaud is arguably the best handicapped horse in the race judged on his AW victories. He's yet to prove as effective on turf but his Goodwood run is worth ignoring as he had an awful trip. He rates the biggest danger ahead of the consistent Runswick who was given too much to do last time.
