Verdict

Although Ya Karim didn't look the easiest of rides when hanging his chance away on his return at Yarmouth, a subsequent gelding operation could see him in a better light on his handicap bow. Regardless, CAVIAR COWBOY opened his account off a mark of 75 at Lingfield last month and scored with enough in hand to suggest that he can overcome a 7lb higher mark. King's Trust is also of interest on his seasonal debut.

Caviar Cowboy made a winning handicap debut at Lingfield and could have more to offer, while King's Trust, who scored in first-time blinkers at Southwell, looks capable of better now handicapping in a new kind of headgear. The selection, though, is SLIGHT OF FOOT from the foot of the weights. He was below form on his reappearance at Wolverhampton on his first run since a gelding op but his earlier course second over 7f at this course reads really well and he's related to two smart performers, so an opening mark of 77 could prove generous. His stable also won this last year.
