Andrew Balding Stable Tour

The Kingsclere trainer has autumn targets in his sight for his string, with several set to line up on Town Moor for the St Leger Festival.

Andrew Balding, like everyone else, has had his season badly interrupted by the Covid-19 outbreak but, nevertheless, it has been another campaign to remember with Kameko providing him with a first Qipco 2000 Guineas winner when successful at Newmarket in June and Khalifa Sat finishing runner-up in the Derby the following month.

His 71 successes have contributed to a highly satisfactory 2020 already with £1,210,037 in the prize money kitty and that total looks likely to be swelled considerably next week with Berkshire Rocco holding live outsider claims in the Pertemps St Leger at Doncaster.

Balding looks like having a strong team on Town Moor with Foxtrot Lady (Sceptre Stakes), Shailene (Park Hill), Shine So Bright (Park Stakes) and Spanish Mission (Doncaster Cup) plus other that will be participating in the top-quality autumn contests.

There is also plenty of strength in depth amongst the two-year-olds with King Vega, Mystery Smiles and Tactical spearheading his challenge for further Group glory and all in all a busy end of season ensues.

Andrew kindly spoke to Tony Elves of attheraces.com about those who can keep the flag flying for his Kingsclere team in the coming weeks and months.
