After cosy wins in nurseries at Catterick and Brighton, HARRY'S POP is the obvious one. A 4lb rise for the latter success demands more but the Dylan Cunha-trained gelding is on an upwards trajectory and is hard to oppose on his hat-trick bid. Maximus Meridius has shown enough promise to suggest he can also have a big say on just his second start in a race of this nature, while Beechwood Glory is on a workable rating.
Last seen in Doncaster's valuable Two-Year-Old Stakes sales race, ONGOMBO takes a significant drop in class and is an attractive proposition at this level, with Oisin Murphy taking over in the saddle. Reddy also appears to be heading in the right direction and is the chief danger after two promising starts so far. Gilded Call and So Sexy Me are entitled to be wiser now they have a run under their belts and also warrant betting checks.
Toby Moore guided HAPPIER to a cosy success at Kempton last week and keeping the partnership intact can help Martin Keighley's mare cope with a 5lb penalty. Son Of Astar won over 5f here on his latest start and also makes the shortlist, although it's slightly concerning that he's never won over 6f before. That's not the case with Connie's Rose, who shades preference as a bigger danger off 5lb below her last winning mark.
Torcello rolled back the years when securing an 11th Flat victory at Haydock in May and he must enter calculations given the likelihood of similar underfoot conditions. However, a 5lb higher mark could leave the veteran vulnerable, with SONIC PIONEER edging the vote. Martin Keighley's charge was last seen scoring in a novice hurdle at Ludlow in April and stepping up in distance back on the level could unlock some improvement. The hat-trick seeking Captain Cairney and handicap debutant Feelin' Free are others of interest.
Although Aerial Silk would prove a live threat if replicating his juvenile form, he has proved underwhelming on both outings in handicap company this season. With that in mind, this could prove a suitable opportunity for LUCKY RADAR to open his account. Rod Millman's inmate caught the eye when denied by just a head on his debut at Chepstow and this greater emphasis on stamina is forecast to suit. Circle Of Secrets may chase the pair home.
SCARFO displayed a much-improved performance when third in a class 2 series final at Chepstow last month and he makes plenty of appeal off 6lb lower in the ratings. A return to softer ground conditions may have proved the catalyst for the five-year-old's better showing and a third career victory may beckon. C&D winner Beaming Light arrives here in good form and is feared most, ahead of Private Officer.
WHITELEY WAY won well at Lingfield earlier in the year and it has to be considered a huge positive that connections have booked Oisin Murphy for her return to action. A bold showing looks assured, but don't completely rule out Angel's Call on the back of a solid second at Bath nine days ago. Others to consider include Wellwhatshappenin and Ajrad.
ELORA PRINCE was much the best when running away with a Chepstow handicap a few weeks ago and, assuming he arrives in similar form, it's going to take a big performance to deny this gelding another victory. Rogers Dream is feared most following a smooth Ripon success, but that was in classified stakes company and this looks tougher. Adrian is also noteworthy.

Resemblance has shown a liking for soft ground in her maiden runs and has been given a workable opening mark. She looks the chief threat ahead of Maximus Meridius who will appreciate the step back up in trip.

Reddy has placed on both of his starts so far including on easy ground so looks the obvious danger while So Sexy Me ran well for a long way on debut. She will be a danger if allowed to dictate.
HAPPIER has never won off a mark this high but she has been in career best form recently and she's run well on heavy ground in the past so could defy top weight. Son Of Astar is a heavy ground winner and has only gone up 3lb for her recent 5f victory so looks an obvious danger. Connie's Rose has been struggling of late but the handicapper is relenting and she will appreciate the step back up in trip. She isn't ruled out with Oisin Murphy in the saddle.
FEELIN' FREE needs to prove her stamina stepping up significantly in distance but she beat a useful yardstick last time on easy ground and is potentially thrown in for her handicap debut. She is selected ahead of veteran mud lover Torcello who cashed in on a much reduced mark last time and remains well treated on his old efforts. Hat trick seeker Captain Cairney will find this tougher than his recent assignments but is also respected having been raised just 5lb.
LUCKY RADAR was green when initially asked for his effort on debut but finished strongly when the penny dropped. With Oisin Murphy taking over he's expected to improve significantly for this longer trip and get off the mark. The experienced Aerial Silk looks the obvious danger on form dropping back in trip having failed to stay 10f last time. The other pair are best watched until tackling longer distance handicaps.
PRIVATE OFFICER was lit up by the first time blinkers but still ran a huge race on his stable debut last time and is picked to go a place better with his usual cheekpieces back on. He is well treated on his best Irish form which came with plenty of cut in the ground and is entitled to come on for his latest outing. Veteran Equion has been struggling recently but he has tumbled down the weights and the booking of Marquand suggests better is expected. He can chase the selection home ahead of Scarfo who ran a big race at a much higher level last time.
WHITELEY WAY hasn't been seen since the spring but her jockey booking suggests a big run is expected and she's proven herself on heavy ground in the past. A 4lb rise for her last time out win is lenient and she is picked to defeat in form course winner Angel's Call who is vulnerable to a strong stayer on testing ground. Veteran Ajrad has some enthusiasm questions to answer but he has been hinting at better recently and could also play a part if breaking on terms.
This could be dominated by the local Bernard Llewellyn yard. Veteran Adrian is a former Group winner in Germany who handles conditions and has returned to form off a basement mark recently but he has some doubts surrounding his battling qualities. Mick The Hat has left a top stable but he did show promise on easy ground over 12f so can't be dismissed on his debut for the yard off a basement mark. It is ZAMBEZI MAGIC at the other end of the weights who looks the solid option though. He's a C&D winner on heavy ground and remains well treated on his best efforts despite his recent victory.
