He’s been running well but probably has his own ideas about things. He seems to keep a fair bit to himself, but he will turn up at Ayr - probably in one of the seven-furlong handicaps. He would also get in the Bronze Cup but whether we go that route we will see - he’s more of a seven-furlong horse now.

Trainer says

He ran in an amateur rider race last time and we were probably guilty of going too fast. He’s still in good form and he is quite potent at his level. He ran in the Cumberland Plate at Carlisle and set the race up for a course record and he can take them all on at a fair gallop. If he gets an easy in front, then he’s probably hard to catch at that lower level. We might skip Ayr and go to Hamilton or something like that over a mile and a half. The ground doesn’t seem to matter to him.

I have managed to win with him, but I haven’t made that good a job of him at the moment. We’re possibly heading for the Cambridgeshire, but we may need to pick up a penalty with him. He’s probably going to run in the Kilkerran Cup and then the following Saturday, hopefully, we’ll get in the Cambridgeshire. He’s a nice horse so, hopefully, he can fulfil some of his potential.

Trainer says

He’s in the Flying Five at the Curragh on Sunday and obviously we will make a plan after that but if he wins, he possibly might go to the Breeders’ Cup. It's a win-and-your-in-race. It all depends, but we might supplement him for the Prix de l’Abbaye if he runs well. You could argue his win in the King George at Goodwood was his best day. His coat is changing but they always change this time of year, and he seems fine and we are looking forward to running him in Ireland.

He won at Ayr in August of last year and over a mile and five and he could go back there next week. He wouldn’t want it too soft, but they are predicting good, good to soft ground which will be fine. He’s a player in the mile and five race and he’s a grand old horse and good fun to have in the stable.

He ran a good race at Haydock and beat a handicap good thing so to speak. He goes to Chester this week and it depends where he is drawn, but if he gets a decent draw he’ll go forward and he’ll probably be hard to catch.

She’s had a good season and seems to be improving again. She won over five furlongs at the Western Meeting last year and she’ll probably go for the Bronze Cup. She seems to get a wee bit further now and she drops herself in and then comes with a rattle which suits her in these big handicaps. If she gets luck in running, she’ll be a player in the Bronze Cup.

He provided our amateur Kayleigh Williams with a first winner at Hamilton in June, but he probably saves a lot for himself and he’s a monkey. He’s capable of winning but doesn’t try very hard. You have to put him in trouble and get him out of trouble at the right time. He’s always thereabout and I would like to get another win out of him but I would say retirement beckons.

Trainer says

She is heading for the Portland again on Saturday. She won it last year and won last time out and we should get a run off her mark. Basically, that has been my target with her all year and, hopefully, a lot of things can go right for her. She’s in good form and I am looking forward to seeing her run at Doncaster again. She might then possibly go to Ayr, but I don’t think she’s a six-furlong horse and I have pencilled her in for the five-furlong listed race. She was favourite for the Bronze Cup last year, but she stumbled coming out of the stalls and five and a half furlongs is probably ideal for her.

He will probably get in the Silver Cup this year and that’s his target. We may run him back at Hamilton on the Monday over five furlongs but it probably about this time of year that the ground is starting to go against him. He is and old superstar and it was good see him get his head in front when we put the cheekpieces on him at Ayr, he bolted up.

She’s another who has had a good year and it just of matter of finding these races as she likes to dominate. If she doesn’t dominate, she spits her dummy out but if she gets her own way out in front it’s a different matter. We won’t look for anything fancy with her - just go for those low-grade type of races and whether we give her another spin on the All-Weather during the winter, we will see.

We might take a gamble that he might slip into the Cesarewitch. He’s obviously done nothing wrong this year and his last win at Pontefract was a huge race for him. He won it well and I would say if he gets in that he would have a live chance in the Cesarewitch. There’s a possibility that we may have to run him to try and get a penalty to get in but we’ll see.

He’s been in and out, but he’s inclined to run with the choke out. We’ll gradually try to get him to relax a wee bit and if we can get him to relax then he’ll progress. He’s good at home but at the moment he does everything in a hurry on the racecourse and he’s just a bit frustrating. He’s a nice horse and is still a work in progress.

All sorts of ground seems to suit him and we will just take it as it comes. We are looking forward to him running there.

He decided to go for a walk in his race at the other day and but then finished quite close up in the end. There’s nothing really for him at Ayr and I might move him up to a mile and five. We might put the headgear on him as he’s just very, very lazy. There will be more races in him because he doesn’t use a lot of energy in his races.

He is in at Musselburgh on Saturday in the Musselburgh Gold Cup over two miles and two. At one time, the Musselburgh Gold Cup was my Derby as it was a nice mile and a half race and I used to try my hand to win it. He’s a course and distance winner and he ran well at Goodwood and he’s in good form. Hopefully, he will bounce back from his run at York last time.

It was unfortunate as she has quite a good draw and one took her on for the lead and they went too hard. She will probably head for Ayr, and she will probably get in the Bronze Cup. We will make our mind up after that.
