Callisto Dream returned from a seven-month absence to score by a nose over this trip at Pontefract in May and is likely to be thereabouts off just a 2lb higher rating, but it may pay to side with RAJAPOUR. David O'Meara's charge sliced his way through the field to by just under two lengths at Redcar on his most recent start and a 5lb rise might prove to be lenient. Alpha Capture and Dwindling Funds are others to keep an eye on.
The ex Joseph O'Brien trained SUBSTANCE left the form of his stable debut behind when runner up last time and that form is worth marking up as he hit the front too soon. That suggests this slight drop in trip will suit and he proved himself on easier ground in Ireland so looks ready to take advantage of a generously unchanged mark here. The steadily progressive Alpha Capture looks well treated up 2lb and is another who proved himself on softer surfaces in Ireland. He looks the chief threat while Son is also of interest at a bigger price. His losing run stretches more than 3 years but he has returned to form the last twice so will be dangerous if able to get across to the lead from his wide draw.
