Verdict

A competitive event on paper considering the fact the majority of the field have shown a decent amount of promise so far. Despite being turned over on debut at Ayr, INSTANT FORCE was beaten by a rival who had racecourse experience, and Karl Burke's colt is likely to now benefit from that initial outing to confirm the form with Trumpety Trump. Nicely commands plenty of respect after his runner-up effort at Nottingham, while Battle Fever cannot be ignored after filling the same position at Beverley.

A fair little 2yo event, it can go to the filly NICELY, who showed plenty on her Nottingham debut over this trip and can be expected to improve as many from the yard do for their initial experience. Instant Force, from a yard that is traditionally in the 2yo department, was beaten at odds of 4-9 on debut but still showed plenty and rates the danger ahead of Battle Fever. That one hit the line well over 5f on debut and should improve for the step up to 6f now.
