CHINA IN YOUR HAND finished a creditable third in a decent maiden at Doncaster despite running green. The daughter of Cracksman will be a lot wiser for this and a bold bid looks assured from Charlie Fellowes' filly. Seventh at Doncaster, Caravel showed some ability in the early stages and she could finish a lot closer to the selection this time, while Necromancer and Indian Lights are newcomers to note.
Revoir has gone close in Listed company at both Haydock and Pontefract so far this year, but this could go to her stablemate K SARRA. The three-year-old never looked at home on the track when struggling in the Oaks, but she ran a race full of promise when third in the Musidora at York before that and gets another chance. Naga and the Godolphin pair Fashion's Fancy and Tribal Queen are others to consider.
The application of cheekpieces appeared to work the oracle for MILETUS last time. He quickened up nicely once in the clear to score a shade cosily over C&D last month and there could be more to come from James Keane's charge in the headgear. I Still Have Faith drops in class with a shout off his current mark. He could launch a challenge, while Bell Shot and Jumby complete the shortlist.
David O'Meara sends two horses south to Newmarket including YES I'M MALI, second to Golden Long over C&D last time and looking to go one better. He has won off this mark before and warrants plenty of respect with Danny Tudhope on board once more. Fenlander is sure to prove popular after rattling up three wins on the bounce in lesser company and is an obvious danger, while Spring Bloom brings consistency to the table and shouldn't be too far adrift.
Moon Warp steps up in trip on his handicap debut for Sir Mark Prescott and if he is supported in the early markets, he has to be on the shortlist in this small field. Ziggy's Avenger has a win to his name after success at Ripon and wasn't disgraced when fifth at Windsor since, but JOHN HARRISON may have the edge. A running-on third over the Salisbury mile last month, if he gets the trip he could win for the first time here.
Dovey Moon has won four times over a mile or so and showed signs of a return to form in third last time, but he still needs a career-best off this mark and may have to settle for a place. MYTHICAL GUEST hasn't won since 2024 but that latest victory came in a better contest off just 1lb lower and, after a good third at Ascot last week, he could be coming back to form. Astrazar and Elan D'or are others to note.
This is a weak-looking maiden for the course. The newcomers look no more than average and most of those that have run have made little impact. Easily most promising of them was CHINA IN YOUR HAND who was very green and ran in snatches on her debut before finishing off really well. She is talented, will know much more this time and ought to win. Necromancer from the Ralph Beckett yard appeals most of the debutants and Caravel showed enough first time to suggest she can make the frame. Angel Of Heaven was well backed for her debut but ran really disappointingly. She is quite small and may not be of much account but she is worth considering.
This is a very tricky race. Revoir sets the standard based on her staying-on second at Pontefract last time with plenty of these (Little Dorrit, Brielle, Orionis) behind her but there is a likelihood something will improve past her. Both Charlie Appleby fillies looked very promising in lesser company last time. TRIBAL QUEEN seems to have the better form and has a lovely attitude and is just preferred, but Fashion's Fancy is arguably a nicer type and may make more progress. K Sarra was thought good enough to go to the Oaks and could get back on track in this lesser company, though jockey bookings suggest Revoir is the more fancied of the yard's two runners, and Naga is progressive and from a very good stable.
Miletus is a quirky sort, travelling smoothly into his races then holding his head high under pressure and never quite finding what looked likely. The tongue-tie suggests part of his problem could be breathing though he is consistent in the main despite his run style. He could always rate more highly and will probably go well again but might be worth opposing. JUMBY comes from the yard that won this last year and is himself well handicapped on his 2025 form though a little below that in two starts this term. A chance is taken he'll get back to something like his best and win this. Bell Shot should also go well. He is largely consistent and on a workable mark.
This is a very tight handicap. Preference is tentatively for FENLANDER who has been progressing and won with a tiny bit in hand last time despite having raced freely in front. Yes I'm Mali is in good form and will probably threaten and Spring Bloom is consistent and should run his race.
Ziggy's Avenger scored a couple of starts back with a bit in hand and was well backed last time. He'll no doubt be popular again and should run well off a decent mark. Preference though is for JOHN HARRISON who appeared to finish really well over a mile last time and could well improve markedly at this trip. The remainder are hard to recommend, Moon Warp possibly being third best entirely because he has been racing over the wrong trips and finally gets the sort of distance he needs here.
SILCA BAY is in good form, borderline progressive, and looks the best option in this competitive little handicap. Mythical Guest should also run well having rediscovered his mojo on his last two outings. Third best and interesting at a price is Astrazar. He is yet to live up to his quite smart 2yo form but finished well at Chester after getting behind early and given a better break may yet fulfil his potential.
