Clairefontaine Horse Racing Tips

SILENT DESTINY (8) hails from a top stable renowned for readying newcomers to strike on debut. He is a full brother to the useful Listed winner Understated, and can make a winning start to his career. SCRIBE OF WISDOM (11) may give the selection most to think about. He boasts an attractive pedigree and is a half-brother to a Listed winner. SYRIUS (12) is another debutant worthy of consideration, especially if attracting market support, while FOREIGN MINISTER (9) also merits respect as a son of a smart mare who won six races.

DICIAMO (1) has the benefit of experience, having finished runner-up twice. Her latest second came in a claimer in late July, and she is marginally preferred over newcomer GREYZABELLA (10), who represents a top stable that tends to have its newcomers well prepared. She is worth monitoring in the market on her racecourse debut. GOLDEN SAVIOR (5) has shown promise in two starts and holds solid each-way claims. VIA SPERENZA (4) is another to consider after showing ability on debut and should know more this time.

SELF CONTROL (3) has recorded several placed efforts from her 15 starts, most recently finishing second at Le Lion-d'Angers late last month. She can finally gain a deserved success, but LADY SOFIA (1) is likely to make her work hard for it after a solid second at Clairefontaine early last month. AKSAKOVA (10) is also still seeking her first win and merits each-way consideration. WHAKA (12) completes the shortlist.

HALSEY (4) can get off the mark after a couple of unplaced efforts in claiming races and looks capable of doing so in what appears to be an open contest. Her main threat could be VIDEO GAMES (2), who finished a pleasing second on his penultimate start in a claiming race at Aix-les-Bains in July. LOVE ADDICT (3) is another to consider each-way and cannot be ruled out of the places. FIVESTARS (6) also deserves attention and is difficult to dismiss.

SHAPESMITH (2) seems to be improving with racing and can play a leading role on his handicap debut after three placed runs. He could be reasonably well handicapped and can edge this over BAHI (5), who can keep the selection honest and is also trying a handicap for the first time. STEALITWITHAKISS (4) is another to pay attention to after a creditable effort in a Listed race in mid-June on her latest start. SEA NYMPH (3) has each-way aspirations and is hard to rule out of the frame. EXELMANS (9) looks best of the remainder.

ZARABABY (4) has been third on her last three starts, the latter in a handicap at Vichy late last month and she can get off the mark under Christophe Soumillon. Her main danger could be AUSTRALIAN ROMANCE (10), who has been knocking on the door with three second placed runs recently. PAUL DE TARSE (9) is another to consider and has cheekpieces for the first time and can be on the premises. LILLY'S LIGHT (7) is another to keep onside and has solid place claims.

PERSIAN GRACE (8) has strong claims after a recent second at Cholet and looks capable of getting off the mark. Her main threat could be CRISZILLA (5), who showed plenty of promise when fourth on her sole start at Clairefontaine in early July and she will know more this time. AISHITERU (3), who ran well here recently when second in early July at Clairefontaine in a maiden and warrants close attention. AMIE AMOUR (11) looks best of the remainder.

STRIKE GOLD (9) has shown good promise in two starts so far. His latest when a close third in a maiden race at Clairefontaine in early July. He has solid claims and can edge this over TOO DARN QUICK (7), who has plenty of experience and has several placed efforts so far. MUTANT KING (10), was one place ahead of the latter at Compiegne in a maiden in July and can be on the premises, as can MAGNUS (4), who makes up the shortlist.
