Scored by four and a half lengths from Master Builder when landing the Great Metropolitan Handicap at Epsom (1m 4f) in April off a mark of 84 and added to that success when scoring by a neck from Insanity in the Sky Bet Handicap at York (1m 4f) in August off a mark of 88. Finished third, beaten four and a half lengths, to Will Scarlet in a handicap at Meydan (1m 4f) in March off a mark of 90.

Trainer says

Asgard's Captain won the Great Metropolitan last year. And also won a Heritage Handicap at York. He's just got back from Dubai and he had a nice easy holiday and will go for the Great Metropolitan again, then the Northern Dancer and then back to York - he will follow the exact path as last year. When we got him he was off 53 and he's rated 91 now but I still think there's a bit of wiggle room there. You just never know with him because he just does enough even when he wins.

Fireblade is a good stayer and he won at the Shergar Cup for us. He's had a good winter and he'll be in all those big staying races. He likes fast ground and he’ll start when the ground firms up. I'm looking at a mile and a quarter at Pontefract and then York will be next — there's a nice mile and a half handicap at York which he'll go for at the Dante meeting.

She’s a nice filly and she has still got wins in her. She goes on any ground.

He’s a nice horse who has won three races for us. He will follow a similar route to Asgard’s Captain and I think he’s still well handicapped. I think he’ll improve this year and he wants fast ground and he runs on the All-Weather too.

He is obviously a Group 2 winner but didn't have a great year last year as the ground was dry all year. He wants soft ground or good to soft ground so I'm hoping for a wet summer. He's had a little tickle with his wind over the winter and he's in flying form. He’s a very nice horse and I'm expecting him to bounce back to his best. He'll start off in the Earl of Sefton at Newmarket and then probably go to Chester.

He hasn’t won yet but he’s a tough consistent horse and he runs on Sunday. He’s effective between seven furlongs and a mile.

He's a very nice young horse - I would, probably, predict him to be our best three-year-old this year. We had the race at Doncaster on Sunday in mind from a very early stage and it all worked out well. I think mentally and physically he is going to take a huge step forward from this and I think he will develop into a really nice middle-distance handicapper. He wants soft ground, good to soft ground and we are just going to take our time with him and look for the best opportunities. Hopefully, he will have a big campaign in the Autumn.

He's doing well and his mission will be the three-year-old Dash at Epsom, and then he'll go to the Palace of Holyrood House at Royal Ascot. I think he'll win that race - it's cheeky to say that, but the Dash has been his plan all year.

We bought him from the Horses-In-Training Sale and I really like him. We haven’t run him yet but he has shown a lot at home and I can’t wait to get him going. We are just waiting for the turf for him and we will start him off over five or six furlongs.

He’s going to grow into a very nice horse and he’ll be one for all those six-furlong sprints. We were delighted with his win at Southwell on Thursday and he’s only run on the All-Weather but he’s going to be better on the turf. The plan is to go to Ascot on May 8 next.

We bought him from Coolmore and he’s a half-brother to Bolshoi Ballet who won the Derrinstown Stud Derby Trial and was favourite for the Derby. He’s going to take a bit of time but he’s one-to-follow for later in the season. I would keep him on the back burner.

Tailgunner Joe just got back from Dubai on Wednesday. He won in Dubai for us and I can see him being a nice progressive three-year-old. He'll be kept busy and then he's going to go to Kentucky Downs for the race meeting there in September. He’s a nice horse, likes fast ground but has also won on soft ground as well so he is versatile.
