Jamie Snowden has seen his training career really flourish in the past few seasons, and another first was achieved in 2025-26 when he passed the £1million prize-money barrier for the first time.
The Lambourn trainer went 24 above his previous personal best recorded in 2024-25, notching 86 successes and £1,172,495 in the process, and further lustre was added to those achievements when Johnny’s Jury landed the Grade 1 Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival. The six-year-old will have his attentions turned to novice chasing this season and could well be in the forefront in that division, with the Brown Advisory Novices’ Chase an obvious long-term target.
Snowden hasn’t been resting on his laurels, however, as there has been a healthy intake of new horses from the Irish point-to-point fields and elsewhere, and with 26 winners already to date, few would bet against him reaching the magic ton this campaign.
