David O'Meara Stable Tour

Form profile

Winner of six of his 34 starts and currently rated 94. Finished third, beaten a length and a quarter, to Bond Chairman in a handicap at Doncaster (5f) this month off a mark of 94.

Trainer says

He was unlucky in the Dash and he got cut up and was short of room. He ran well at Doncaster last time where he got left in front and he is better when he has something to aim at. Goodwood over a fast five furlongs where they go downhill for a furlong would be one of his big targets for the year. He is entered at Newcastle and the Curragh this weekend and will go for one. He needs a quick enough surface.

Form profile

Winner of one of his eight starts and currently rated 80. Off the mark at Lingfield (1m 2f) this month when beating Croachill three quarters of a length off a mark of 77.

Trainer says

He was a little bit keen over a mile and half so we dropped him back to ten furlongs at Lingfield and he won. He can probably win off his mark.

Form profile

Winner of four of his 38 starts and currently rated 95. Finished last of six, beaten four and a half lengths, to Cruyff Turn at Redcar (7f) on Saturday.

Trainer says

Things didn’t go right for him at Redcar at the weekend but small field where he can dictate are right for him and he is on a very dangerous mark.

Form profile

Winner of seven of his 36 starts and currently rated 101. Finished a respectable sixth, beaten three lengths, to Witch Hunter in the Buckingham Palace Handicap at Royal Ascot (7f) last week.

Trainer says

Bopedro ran very well at Royal Ascot last week running all the way to the line in the Buckingham Palace Stakes. He has been good this year and, hopefully, there is another big handicap in him. He is entered in Ireland on Sunday and all those big Ascot handicaps and the Clipper Logistics at York would come under consideration for the rest of the season. He is probably better suited by a bit of ease but he goes on faster ground. He has his off days as we saw at Leicester but we have learnt a lot about him since he came to us last year and when he is good, he is very good.

Form profile

Winner of seven of his 61 starts and currently rated 74. Finished fifth, beaten a length and a half, to Novak in a handicap at Ayr (6f) on Saturday.

Trainer says

He needs soft ground and he is very well treated if he can get his conditions and a strong pace.

Form profile

Winner of three of his 24 starts and currently rated 91. Best most recent effort when runner-up, beaten a short head, to Mister Bluebird in a handicap at Goodwood (7f) in June off a mark of 88.

Trainer says

He has been unlucky in two of his last three starts. He was just caught at Epsom and at Goodwood. It looks like he is back on track and a sharp seven furlongs brings out the best in him. There is a race at Musselburgh for him next month and we would be looking to get back to Goodwood for the August meeting with him.

Form profile

Winner of four of his 23 starts and currently rated 86. Finished sixth, beaten three and a quarter lengths, to Forceful Speed in a handicap at Pontefract (1m 2f) on Sunday.

Trainer says

Eeetee is a strong travelling horse who needs a bit of pace and doesn’t mind a bit of cut in the ground. He will be kept going on the ground later in the season.

Form profile

Winner of seven of his 69 starts and currently rated 107. Finished fourth, beaten four and three quarter lengths, to Regal Reality in the Group 3 Diomed Stakes at Epsom (1m ½f) in June.

Trainer says

It is his time of the year in the second half of the season and all the usual races - the International, the Balmoral and he likes Goodwood as well. He is back to a winning mark now and often peaks in the autumn.

Form profile

Winner of seven of his 52 starts and currently rated 81. Finished fourth, beaten a length and three quarters, to Garden Oasis at Ayr (1m) this month off a mark of 82.

Trainer says

Hortzadar is a good old horse who has been solid this season. He likes Ripon and the mile course suits him well.

Form profile

Winner of five of her 33 starts and currently rated 75. Finished third, beaten two and a quarter lengths, to Grace Angel in a fillies’ handicap at Haydock (5f) on Saturday.

Trainer says

She is a very tough, reliable filly and she ran on well at Haydock on Saturday. She probably needs slower to be at her best.

Form profile

Winner of 14 of his 99 starts and currently rated 74. Finished 10th, beaten nine lengths, to The Green Man latest start at York (6f) this month off a mark of 78.

Trainer says

He is due his 100th run for us next time out and we will be hoping he do well. He can be competitive off his mark and six furlongs has become his trip as he has got older.

Form profile

Winner of four of his 38 starts and currently rated 88. Finished sixth, beaten a length and three quarters, to Sterling Knight on his latest start at Windsor (6f) this month off a mark of 89.

Trainer says

He needs a strongly run race and is well handicapped if they go a really good gallop.

Form profile

Winner of five of his 42 starts and currently rated 96. Best effort this season when fourth, beaten a length and a quarter, to Austrian Theory at Epsom (1m ½f) this month off a mark of 96.

Trainer says

He was brilliant last season and he looks like he is coming back to his best based on his run at Epsom. He will go back for the Goodwood Mile and we can see if we can get into the Shergar Cup.

Form profile

Winner of four of his 32 starts and currently rated 86. Finished seventh, beaten three and a quarter lengths, to Mostawaa in a handicap at York (1m 1f) in May off a mark of 87.

Trainer says

He has had a good season so far and won a good race at Hamilton. He got held up at York where there was no pace and they quickened up but he really needs an end-to-end gallop. There may be a race for him at Goodwood but he needs and early gallop.

Form profile

Winner of two of his 26 starts and currently rated 81. Finished third, beaten five and a quarter lengths, to Another Investment at York (7f) this month off his current mark.

Trainer says

Riot loves seven furlongs on fast ground and has been knocking on the door. He won first time out and I think there’s a couple of more wins in that horse. He is still well treated off a mark in the low 80s.

Form profile

Winner of one of his 8 starts and currently rated 78. Finished third, beaten five lengths, to Bringbackmemories in a handicap at Haydock (1m 2f) on Saturday.

Trainer says

He ran well at Haydock at the weekend but there wasn’t a strong enough gallop for him. He is a well handicapped horse if he can get a strong run race at ten furlongs.

Form profile

Winner of five of his 41 starts and currently rated 70. Finished third, beaten four and three quarter lengths, to Indian Sounds in a handicap at Pontefract (5f) this month off a mark of 72.

Trainer says

He needs a fast ground five furlongs and he is a very fast horse.

Form profile

Winner of three of his 21 starts and currently rated 72. Finished seventh, beaten three lengths, to Vintage Clarets in a handicap at Chester (5f) this month off a mark of 73.

Trainer says

He ran well at Chester the last day and is a speedy five-furlong horse. He just needs to get the rub of the green.

Form profile

Winner of nine of his 64 starts and currently rated 77. Scored by a short head from Beltane at Wetherby (1m) this month off a mark of 75.

Trainer says

He is a good horse who has been in good form and he won at Wetherby this month. We will see if we can find a similar opportunity for him.

Form profile

Winner of five of his 40 starts and currently rated 81. Finished third, beaten a length, to Star Shield in a handicap at Wetherby (1m) this month off a mark of 77.

Trainer says

Starshiba was very good through the all-weather season and ran well last time out. He is a horse who needs everything to fall right for him but is capable of winning off his mark.

Form profile

Winner of 16 of his 79 starts and currently rated 100. Finished 12th, beaten five and a quarter lengths, to Saint Lawrence in the Wokingham Handicap at Royal Ascot (6f) on Saturday.

Trainer says

He has been a grand servant to the yard and usually ignites in the second half of the season. Hopefully he can follow suit once more and races like the Stewards’ Cup would be on the agenda again.

Form profile

Winner of one of his 12 starts and currently rated 79. Finished third, beaten four and a quarter lengths, to Menelaus in a handicap at York (1m 2 ½f) in June off his current mark.

Trainer says

He ran well when winning at Pontefract and didn’t really get the run of the race at York last time when held up off a slow pace. He goes to Beverley this week and I think he probably improve further.

Form profile

Winner of 10 of his 77 starts and currently rated 77. Returned to winning form at Haydock (1m) last Saturday when scoring by two lengths from Bowland Park.

Trainer says

He won well at the weekend and loves Haydock. Everything went right for him in the race - he got a nice pace to aim at and there was a little ease in the ground. He should find further opportunities in the autumn.

Form profile

Winner of one of his seven starts and currently rated 73. Finished runner-up, beaten a length and a half, to Bajan Bandit at Haydock this month off his current mark.

Trainer says

He is a horse we like and we were disappointed with his run at York but couldn’t find a reason why. We feel he is a well handicapped horse and he will get a mile but he needs to be ridden with more restraint.

Form profile

Winner of one of her four starts and currently rated 68. Off the mark in a maiden fillies’ event at Catterick (7f) this month when beating Ludden Lass a length.

Trainer says

She won well last time out when given a good patient ride by Mark Winn. She got a hike in the weights for that and we will have to see how she goes when going into handicaps.

Form profile

Winner of both of her starts and currently rated 83. Scored by three quarters of a length from Lerwick at Pontefract (1m) last September and followed suit on her reappearance in a novice event at Thirsk (1m) this month when beating Rajindri half a length.

Trainer says

She is two from two so far and we will see where we go next but she is a filly we would hope to get some black type with this year.

Form profile

Winner of one of his eight starts and currently rated 84. Finished third, beaten three and a quarter lengths, to Coverdale in a handicap at Haydock (1m 2f) this month off a mark of 85.

Trainer says

He is a good horse who needs to be held up and they went a little bit slow for him at Haydock. He will definitely win again when he gets some ease again later in the season.

Form profile

Winner of one of his two starts. Scored by a length and three quarters from Fakhra in a novice event at Wetherby (7f) this month.

Trainer says

He won well at Wetherby first time out and then didn’t handle the track at Catterick. It was more like it last time out and we hope he can progress.

Form profile

Placed in his three starts and currently rated 78. Finished third, beaten two and three quarter lengths, to Flying Frontier in a novice event at Redcar (1m 2f) on Friday.

Trainer says

He is a lovely big horse and he hasn’t managed to get his head in front yet but I am sure he will.

Form profile

Winner of two of her 11 starts and currently rated 73. Finished runner-up, beaten a length and three quarters, to Sophia’s Starlight in a fillies’ handicap at Newmarket (6f) on Saturday.

Trainer says

She has been second three times in a row now and is a big filly who I think can keep on improving throughout the season. We may contemplate trying seven furlongs next time.

Form profile

Winner of two of his three starts and currently rated 81. Made a winning reappearance in a novice at Redcar (7f) in May when short heading Man Of A’An and followed up with a length and a quarter defeat of Kiaraad in a similar event at Lingfield (7 ½f) in June.

Trainer says

He is a big horse with plenty more scope who has won two of his three starts. He can progress further.

Form profile

Made a winning debut at Hamilton (6f) this month when scoring by a nose from Jonny Concrete.

Trainer says

He won well on his debut at Hamilton despite being quite green. He toughed it out and he will get seven in time but we will keep him to six furlongs for now.

Form profile

Winner of one of his four starts. Finished 16th, beaten 13½ lengths, to Big Evs in the Listed Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot (5f) last week. Previously scored by two and a quarter lengths from Riverview Law in a maiden at Hamilton (5f) earlier in June.

Trainer says

He is a likeable horse and he just caught tight at Beverley after winning well at Hamilton. He ran quite well at Ascot in the Windsor Castle and he got left in front after travelling well for a long way. He should be capable of winning a very competitive nursery.

Form profile

Placed in two of her three starts and currently rated 82. Best effort when third, beaten a length and a half, to Midnight Affair in the Hilary Needler at Beverley (5f) in June.

Trainer says

She is a filly we like and she is a tall scopey filly. Ascot didn’t suit and she got warm in the prelims. She was unlucky not to win her maiden at Thirsk and we will give her a bit of time. Hopefully, she can win her maiden and then step up in class.
