Expert View Verdict

Verdict

It might be worth taking a chance on SPIRIT OF NATURE, whose seasonal return/handicap bow wasn't entirely devoid of promise. The low-mileage gelding might step forward from that outing, especially because he had undergone wind surgery prior to it. Bridgefoot Rambler outran odds of 150-1 to hit the frame at Thirsk and is high on the shortlist as a result, whilst Hostelry could also be thereabouts in a first-time visor.

Hostelry needs more than of late but this is a weak race and perhaps the new visor could make a difference. He's respected along with Millbuie, who ran well upped to 10f last on the AW at Newcastle, but it's the 3yo ROYAL BARONESS who is the selection. She had excuses at Musselburgh last time when only third and is of strong interest on her earlier Carlisle fourth.
