A competitive looking opening event. GYPSIE MAGIQUE (6) recently returned to winning ways in a similar event at Caen. The field looks weaker this time, and she appears capable of following up. Generally reliable, HECTOR DE CORDAY (4) is racing in his category and should lead the opposition. JANETTE TY (1) drops in class but is not the most consistent. If he behaves, JUNIOR DU GADE (2) can bounce back and contrest the finish.
NYMEAS D'ELA (1) opened his account in authoritative fashion on the grass track at Bernay and looks set for a bright future. NEW TALK SHOW (7) already has some experience and should quickly reward his new connections. NAYKO DE LA CRIERE (2) is likely to benefit from the step up in distance. With some improvement, NOHOLITA MAY (5) can get involved in the fight for top honours.
A very open contest. MISS TERBEKEN (11) arrives from Belgium on the back of several good performances. Even though she is returning from a short break, her connections have secured the services of Benjamin Rochard, and she looks capable of scoring. MIA DU BLEQUIN (13) appears to be settling with experience. Constantly improving, MISS FINE (10) has solid claims. MAROUBRA (9) did not have to exert herself much to score at a lower level and could make the frame.
MANSFIELD D'OYSE (4) turns out again quickly but did not appear to have emptied his tank when scoring at Graignes. He is the one to beat. MY SIMON (1), after a much-needed comeback run is a threat. MONOGAME (2), carefully campaigned by his connections, will be ready to pounce on any weakness from the selection. MAESTRO DE FERFAY (9) would only need to repeat his latest performance at Nancy to play a leading role.
Well positioned on the front line, LORD DE FONTAINE (6) and LE BOSS DE LUBEL (2) look the most likely to fight out the finish.LORD DE FONTAINE (6) has shown improvement and gets the vote to score. Consistent overall and effective when racing barefoot, LOVHELEN D'OR (4) should once again be involved at the finish. Lighter in her shoeing after a comeback run, LADY POP (9) is another possible winner and must be considered.
On his return to mounted racing, JOKER DE LA BRETTE (4) could go a long way on this track, which should suit him well. JANARDAL CLUB (11) scored impressively on his return to the discipline at La Capelle. Well known at this level, JUST PACHA (5) will have plenty of supporters. JACKPOT DU WALLON (12) has been in good form in harness races and could be a danger trying a mounted race this time.
Close to winning, JOKER DU MATCH (11) can be a solid betting base in a race of this nature. JOKER D'AMARO (4) won last Sunday at Montier-en-Der after a strong battle. If he has recovered well from that effort, he looks capable of following up. JURASSIC (5) is very consistent and should fight out the finish once again. INDIAN PARK (8) particularly enjoys the Amiens track and is another that can get involved with the finish.
An interesting lucky last race. Preference is given to the seven-year-olds, with JOYCE DU VAL (9), who was narrowly denied at Caen last time and should not be long in returning to winning ways. Unshod behind after two preparatory runs, JUGEMENT D'AVE (7) looks a serious contender. Very consistent, JADORE D'ISQUES (8) will once again give her all. A strong finisher, JEALOUS GIRL (5) will need a favourable race to show her best form but is not out of it.
