WALKS LIKE THE MAN (2) was second at this track in May over fences on his penultimate start and should be fit to go after a five month absence. FORTUNA (4) is better than recent form figures and can have a say at the business end.

MAGIC DES CHARMES (1) won well on his latest start in May at Auteuil in a Listed hurdle and should be ready to go on his return from a five month break. LA TURBIE (4) will have no fitness concerns and poses as the main danger after a pleasing second at Auteuil late last month in a Class 2 hurdle. ALMARITA (5) scored on debut at Auetuil over hurdles and was far from disgraced on her most recent outing in a Grade 3 hurdle at the same track in September and can not be excluded.

LOUBA (4) is tentatively preferred on his return to hurdles after winning a Class 3 chase at Auteuil earlier this month. MON PETIT PRINCE (7) has been in excellent form this year, with several placed efforts, and should pose a strong challenge. LE COEUR SAUVAGE (9), placed on all three starts this year, is another to consider, while COUTE QUE COUTE (2) brings versatility over hurdles and fences, and warrants close attention. LE COLOMBAR (6) also merits respect after winning over fences at Lyon-Parilly six days ago.

MOSSDAM (1) has solid form over hurdles and on his switch to fences for the first time, he can be expected to be well schooled by his astute connections. NORTHMAN (3) has experience, having won over course and distance over fences on his most recent start late in September when jumping well. SOMMERKONIG (2) is also worthy of attention and can make his rivals work hard for success. DOUBLE BE (6) is another to pay attention to having finished second over fences two runs back at Auteuil.

KILLING BID (7) has solid claims despite fluffing his lines on his latest start at Auteuil earlier this month over fences. His fourth on his penultimate start at the same track in September was more encouraging. MADISON ROQUE (6) can be a threat after winning his last two races over hurdles and seems to be improving. SHABRACK (1) has been second on three of his last four runs and is also worthy of attention. KILL PASS (5) is also one to keep onside and completes the shortlist.

GAME OF STORM (1) won this race last year and can gain revenge on old rival LE PHILOSOPHE (2), who beat him when they met in the Prix De La Gascogne (Grade 3) chase over 3800m late last month. LE PHILOSOPHE (2) will be no pushover despite being worse off at the weights today. GIACOSA (4) was a narrow margin behind in third in the same race and can once again play a leading role. JAGUAR DU BERLAIS (3) did not fire when back in seventh, but scored in May over track and trip and will strip fitter this time.

ILLUSION MACHINE (4) has solid credentials having won a Listed hurdle at Auteuil on his penultimate start in April, and a pleasing fourth in the Grade 1 Grand Course De Haies D'Auteuil hurdle when last seen in May. He can edge this over GARDIEN DE MUSEE (5) who was back in fifth in the same race and can make the selection work hard for success. OLYMPIC STORY (3) ran a good race when second in a Grade 1 hurdle at Merano (Italy) when last seen late last month and warrants close attention. GALLIPOLI (1) heads the rest.

MACARENA DU RIB (1) is preferred after finishing third in a Grade 1 hurdle in Italy in late September, with a return to fences likely to suit. NEVER SEEN (3) is feared after a respectable fourth in a Grade 3 chase in April at Auteuil on his penultimate start, and could go well fresh. DIAMANT DU RHEU (2) won three times in 2025 and has two placed runs this year over fences and has each-way claims, as does MEC DE LA BARRIERE (8), who is also one to keep onside.
