Mikel Delzangles Stable Tour

Form profile

Didn’t have the best of runs in the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe last year where he eventually finished eighth.

Trainer says

He enjoyed a very nice winter and is currently in great form. He will start off his season in the Prix Hédouville and then his target will be the Grand Prix de Chantilly and the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud. And then we shall see for the rest of the season. It was a shame in the Arc, as Rouget’s filly nicked our spot, which meant that we were travelling a bit too far back, but he finished well, and I think he will improve this season. If everything goes well this year, we could have another go at the Arc. But we are not there yet.

Form profile

Ran a very good third in the Group 1 Prix du Cadran.

Trainer says

She really came into her own towards the end of last season. She will run in the staying races this year and if that goes well, we might be tempted to run her in the Ascot Gold Cup in June. First up though is the Prix Barbeville, then the Prix Vicomtesse Vigier and then we shall see. She ran in very soft ground and in good ground, so that is no concern.

Form profile

Listed placed last year over 1m3f and was fourth on her last start in a 1 ½ m Group 3 race at Chantilly.

Trainer says

She injured her hock in the Prix de Royaumont last year. Everything is good now and she should make her seasonal reappearance next Monday over 1m7f. She loves soft ground, which she will probably not get on Monday, but she will still run as the track is very safe. She might just be lacking some speed to finish in that kind of ground. Should she win, she will be stepped up to Listed company.

Form profile

Winner of a listed last season, he finished ninth in a listed over 1m7f at Chantilly on his seasonal reappearance.

Trainer says

He won his listed at the end of last year in October. His seasonal reappearance didn’t go well the other day, but they went very fast, and he didn’t breathe. He was probably too fresh. He has come back well though and is without doubt better than what he showed last time. He is entered in a Group 2 in Berlin, but I would have preferred to go there on the back of a better performance, but we shall see. He is a late developer and will still improve.

Form profile

Has flourished since dropping back to 7 furlongs on the turf. Runner-up in a 7-furlong handicap at ParisLongchamp on his last start.

Trainer says

He ran really well in a handicap the other day. He was the runner-up in a handicap at ParisLongchamp and will run another race like this at the beginning of next month. He doesn’t like it when it goes too soft.

Form profile

Finished fifth on his first attempt in mile handicap company at Saint-Cloud on his seasonal reappearance.

Trainer says

He has had one run so far and he needed that run. I thought he was ready, but he wasn’t. He will run in another handicap on the 21st of April at ParisLongchamp and I think he will have a good chance.

Form profile

Following a victory in a mile handicap he was stepped up to Listed company, finishing second and then fifth on his final run last season.

Trainer says

He was second in a listed last year. He was a very late developer but did really well at the end of his four-year-old season. He will run in Listed races over the mile and could step up to Group company. He doesn’t like the ground to be too cut up.

Form profile

Wasn’t beaten far when finishing third in a 1m7f handicap at Chantilly on her seasonal reappearance.

Trainer says

She made her seasonal reappearance over 1m7f and produced a good performance. She will continue running in handicaps over that distance and if she continues to improve like that, I hope that she can be stepped up in class.

Form profile

Won a race last season and made her seasonal reappearance in a 1m6 ½ f Class 3 race on the all-weather at Chantilly where she finished third.

Trainer says

We are giving her little break. She is a stunning filly who won well last year but then was a bit unlucky in handicaps towards the end of the season. She will be interesting to follow as I’m sure she will win. She doesn’t like it though when the ground goes too soft. She wants a longer trip and good ground.

Form profile

Ran mainly in handicaps last season and was sixth on his first start this year in a 9-furlong race on the all-weather at Chantilly.

Trainer says

He is not very straight forward in a race. He can be very keen. His seasonal reappearance over 9 furlongs was very good and he will run again over that trip on the 21 April at ParisLongchamp. It’s handicap with lots of runners and he will without doubt be ridden patiently to see how he can finish. He has the ability to win, but he mustn’t forget to breathe during the race.

Form profile

Was the runner-up in a 1 ½ m handicap at Saint-Cloud on her seasonal reappearance.

Trainer says

Her seasonal reappearance was very pleasing. She will run again this weekend. She came out of her last race really well. This time, she will have to take on the older horses and will have to confirm that she is just as capable as we think she is.

Form profile

Runner-up in a mile maiden at Saint-Cloud on his seasonal reappearance.

Trainer says

He has already had a run this season. It was a very good performance. I will definitely avoid running him on firm ground though. He might run again on the 21st of April in a 9-furlong race at ParisLongchamp. That’s his trip, anything from a mile to 9 furlongs. He should win his maiden at Paris and could then be stepped up to better things. I think he is still improving.

Form profile

Had two runs last year and was third in a 1 ¼ m maiden at Chantilly on her seasonal reappearance.

Trainer says

Her seasonal reappearance was very good. It was a maiden over 1 ¼ m at Chantilly and she will probably run in similar race again. She has improved a lot and she is a lovely filly to follow.

Form profile

Struggled last year but finished fourth on the all-weather at Lyon La Soie in January.

Trainer says

He will be targeting handicaps over the longer trips. He will make his reappearance at Fontainebleau next Saturday. We will have to see how that goes. He is not very demonstrative in the morning, but his last start wasn’t bad on a small track that wasn’t really to his liking. I think he will be better suited by the track at Fontainebleau. He doesn’t like the ground to be too soft.

Form profile

Was well beaten into 9th on her debut in a mile race for unraced horses.

Trainer says

I think she had no idea what we asked of her, and I think she is much better than that. Her debut was not good and so we are going to give her some time to digest it and see how she does next time.

Form profile

Unbeaten in three starts. Winner of a 7f Group 3 race at Chantilly last season

Trainer says

She came to me this winter and has done really well. She has grown a lot and has become stronger. She will run this Sunday in the Prix de la Grotte. Her main target is the Poule d’Essai des Pouliches. She can go in any ground.

Form profile

Impressive winner on his debut in a 7 ½ f race at Saint-Cloud last October.

Trainer says

He won his maiden at two and he needs to confirm that form now. But I’m excited about him. He is a horse I very much look forward to seeing him this Wednesday. We are very hopeful for him, but let’s not forget that this will be his seasonal reappearance.

Form profile

Tried in Group company last year without success and finished seventh in a 6f listed at Deauville on her last start.

Trainer says

She was a little disappointing after she won her maiden at two. Physically she hasn’t developed much this winter. She seems to have some speed and we shall see if she can win a race this year.

Form profile

Winner on his final start last season, he was beaten into seventh in the Group 3 at Deauville on his seasonal reappearance.

Trainer says

His seasonal reappearance in the Prix Djebel was shocking. He didn’t breathe at all. He can be a little tense and I think it was because he was too fresh. He has a lot of ability but needs to handle his races better. He was ridden at the back of the field, but he still didn’t breathe.

Form profile

Unraced.

Trainer says

She will run on Saturday at Fontainebleau. I think she won’t disgrace herself, but she is a late developer who still needs more time. She will need some more experience before she will be at the top of her game.

Form profile

Unraced.

Trainer says

We know that the family is not very precocious, but she is a nice filly. Physically she looks good, and she might have her first run after the summer, but that is far from certain.

Form profile

Unraced.

Trainer says

She is by Sea The Stars, who is improving a lot. She will soon make her debut and I’m quite excited to see her.

Form profile

Unraced.

Trainer says

She should make her debut soon. Her last piece of work was not as good as those before, so I will have to see. She has a lot of character so I will have to ease her gently into the game.

Form profile

Unraced

Trainer says

He is not very quick, but will soon make his debut. He might not win straight away, but will improve. He will target 1 ¼ m to 1 ½ m races.
