All being well, he’ll go to Carlisle on Friday week. He likes a stiff track, and he responds well to strong riding, so Jason Hart suits him well. He’s a bit lazy, runs in headgear and takes a bit of rousting, but he will win again this season.

He won nicely at York, but the handicapper put him up 6lb, which took a bit of swallowing, though I suppose the first and second did pull clear of the rest. I believe the runner-up is favourite for the Wokingham, but we didn’t put him in the Wokingham as I’m not sure a stiff six furlongs at Ascot would suit him. All being well, he’ll head to Epsom next on Derby Day for the six-furlong handicap.

He is ready to run, but we have been dying for a bit of rain. He’s in at Windsor on Monday, but I think the ground will be too quick. He might go to Haydock on May 30th, where there’s a six-furlong 0-90, and that could be his next stop. He loves Ripon, and he seems to come to life in the second half of the season. I don’t know why, but with that in mind, and if the ground were right, he could be one for the Great St Wilfred.

He runs at York on Saturday, and I thought he ran pretty well at Beverley on his seasonal reappearance. I’m not sure he loved that, but he still showed promise and there are wins in him again.

Returned to finish fourth, beaten four and three-quarter lengths, behind Night Raider in the Group 3 Palace House Stakes at Newmarket (5f) on his seasonal reappearance earlier this month.

I thought he ran well in the Palace House at Newmarket. He’s never won first time out, so for him to finish fourth was a pleasing run. He runs in the Temple Stakes at Haydock on Saturday and then in the King Charles III at Royal Ascot. We would love to think he could go back to Goodwood and have another crack at the King George that he won last year. He goes on every type of ground, but when it’s soft it probably doesn’t suit the others, whereas he can handle it.

He is now owned by JP McManus and so is more likely to be seen over jumps. He has had a little break, but he’s back in training now and will probably go summer jumping. I hope at some stage he will leave his current jumps form well behind and match the smart form he showed on the Flat.

Red Mirage isn’t quite the force of old, but I feel there’s another race in him when things drop right. He was beaten the other day, and I’d hope the handicappers will start to give him a little bit of relief so that he can then bounce back at some point.

Sir Garfield won at Catterick on his seasonal reappearance, and we had hoped to run him in May. There were a few nice races for him, but he just wasn’t quite right, so we had to take our foot off the gas. He’s good again now though, and I’m looking forward to getting on a roll with him. It looked like he might have improved a small bit at Catterick, and if that’s the case we can run him away in some half-decent handicaps this year.

He hasn’t run for us this season, but he had some good form for William Haggas. He will go for the mile handicap at the Derby meeting.

He wasn’t right last year, but we found he was suffering with a sinus problem, which we corrected over the winter. He has shown the benefit of that in his two runs this year and won at Pontefract last time out. Now that he’s training well and is fully healthy, hopefully he can enjoy a better year this time around.

He won at Pontefract and showed a good attitude on his reappearance. That race has already started to work out well, and he is being kept for the MacMillan Charity Day Timeform Sprint at York on the Saturday before Royal Ascot.

He’s a horse that has shown ability in three starts - I think there’s even more under the bonnet than we have seen so far. After his last run at Redcar we had him gelded, and I hope that might see him improve further. He should be out in the next two to four weeks.

He is two-from-two and was due to run in the spring before a small setback. He’s only a couple of weeks away from returning, and there are options for him in early June at Kempton and Windsor. Hopefully he will head to one of them, and his owner is based in Hong Kong, so I believe at some point he will take him out there. He will be a six-to-seven-furlong horse.

I thought she ran well on her reappearance at Catterick and there are definitely more races in her. We will look at exploring the fillies’ route with her, so hopefully she can have another good year.

He’s a good, hardy horse who we actually liked last year as a two-year-old, but for whatever reason he just didn’t do it. He’s steadily progressive at a low level, and obviously winning that apprentice race at Catterick on Thursday means we will now look at options next week at Ripon and Brighton, where he wouldn’t carry a penalty.

He has shown ability at home but ran no sort of race on his debut at Thirsk, where he wasn’t really concentrating in the preliminaries. Even after the race he was a little bit too fresh for our liking, so he was gelded the following day. I think he will leave that form well behind him in time.

Best effort probably came on her debut at Thirsk (5f) in April when finishing fourth, beaten four and a quarter lengths, behind Niewiadoma.

She ran really well on her debut but then didn’t back it up, though she probably didn’t like the surface at Southwell. She’s a filly who is all about speed, and she could head for a valuable £30,000 seller at Musselburgh in early June.

He ran at the Dante meeting at York, where we expected a good run from him, but he just got stage fright. He was very green in the preliminaries and raced with the choke out in the early part of the race - he ran himself a little bit into the ground. I am sure he is much better than that, and we think he will do well in time.

He did a good breeze, and so we bought him for 200,000 guineas. He’s from Willie Brown’s Mockershill Stud, and we have been pleased with him. I would imagine he will be ready to make his debut in June.

We bought him at the Doncaster Breeze-Up, and we know a bit about him as he was prepared across the road from us by Tony Ross, who was a former jump jockey with Mary Reveley. We bought him for 35,000 guineas, and he looks a real two-year-old and one to get on with.

He is physically a very nice horse, but he wasn’t concentrating as much as we liked in the spring, so we gelded him recently. We have been really pleased with him since then, and he will make his debut in about four to six weeks - he is a horse that could be worth following.
