John and Sean Quinn Stable Tour

The Malton-based training partnership has plenty to look forward to in their third season with a joint licence, including the Temple Stakes-bound Jm Jungle.

John and Sean Quinn are now in their third season with a joint licence, and the Highfield Stables pair have plenty to look forward to as their team gets into full swing in the next few weeks.

They have already recorded 12 winners from just 87 runners so far, but the stakes were upped when Dark Thirty landed a valuable handicap at York’s Dante meeting before stable star Jm Jungle made a perfectly-satisfactory start to his season by finishing fourth in the Group 3 Palace House Stakes at Newmarket’s Guineas Festival.

Jm Jungle provided the yard with a Group 2 success last season in the King George Stakes at Goodwood and that race once again remains a major target, but he will be looking to feather his nest before then when tackling the Temple Stakes at Haydock on Saturday.

Sean said: “We are probably a little bit light on top-notchers, and they are obviously difficult to find, but there’s a lot we feel we can win with and you can only train with what you have. We always do our best for our owners, and let’s hope we have another successful season.”

Sean kindly spoke to Tony Elves of attheraces.com about his prospects from their Malton base.
