Gary Moore Stable Tour

Form profile

Winner of three of his 15 starts and currently rated 127 over fences. Finished third, beaten a length, to Molineaux in a handicap chase at Wincanton (1m 7 1/2f) this month off a mark of 125.

Trainer says

He is a nice horse who runs his heart out every time and jumps fences pretty well. He ran a good race at Wincanton the other day and he is sure to pick up a race soon if I can find the right race.

Form profile

Winner of two of his 9 starts and currently rated 125 over fences. Finished third, beaten two lengths, to Zolfo at Market Rasen (2m 3f) this month off his current mark. He is another horse who has been unlucky and we may have got the riding tactics a little wrong with him.

Trainer says

He is another horse who likes soft ground and amazingly for a horse that won for someone else over two and a half miles at Carlisle I can’t get him to get the trip in an aeroplane. I think we have been getting there too soon on him and he is not staying well or not going through with it. We are not sure what yet and we will give him the benefit of the doubt at the moment. He is in at Hereford this week and if not he goes to Leicester after that.

Form profile

Winner of one of his 8 starts and currently rated 138 over hurdles. Finished sixth, beaten 18 ½ lengths, to Epatante in a limited handicap hurdle at Newbury (2m 1/2f) in November off a mark of 140.

Trainer says

He is not running with the ground like it is at the moment as he is a good ground horse. The main aim would be the County Handicap Hurdle at Cheltenham in March.

Form profile

Winner of one of his 2 starts. Off the mark with a four and a half length victory from Young Lieutenant in a novice hurdle at Lingfield (2m) this month.

Trainer says

He broke his maiden the other day at Lingfield and went in the soft ground nicely. We will get him out quite soon and he is a horse we like and one for the future. He will be a nice chaser next year.

Form profile

Winner of two of his 4 starts and currently rated 139 over hurdles. Scored by five lengths from Langer Dan in the JCB Triumph Trial Juvenile Hurdle at Cheltenham (2m 1f) in December on latest start.

Trainer says

We think a lot of him and he’s a very nice horse. We will probably enter him for three races at Cheltenham – the JCB Triumph Hurdle, the Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle and the Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle. We were very pleased with his last win at Cheltenham and he is progressing nicely. I would like to run him in the Victor Ludorum beforehand if I can.

Form profile

No wins from 4 starts and currently rated 110. Finished runner-up, beaten 11 lengths, to Palladium in a novice hurdle at Sandown (2m) in January.

Trainer says

He is a smashing little horse with a big heart and just 15 hands. He doesn’t want soft ground and is a fast ground horse and we will wait until the ground is too his liking.

Form profile

Winner of one of his 6 starts and currently rated 111 over fences. Off the mark in a novices’ handicap chase at Lingfield (2m) this month when beating Champion Chase eight lengths off a mark of 101.

Trainer says

He won for us the other day and then wasn’t allowed to have his next run under a penalty as the meeting was called off. He is now 10lb higher and he is a horse we like and hopefully he can progress more.

Form profile

Winner of five of his 28 starts and currently rated 109 over fences. Gained his last win at Plumpton (3m 4 1/2f) in November when beating Dylanseoghan two and a quarter lengths off a mark of 105.

Trainer says

He sustained an injury in his last race and had a little fracture behind. He is just coming back now and he is horse we can look forward too in staying chases later in the season.

Form profile

Winner of 10 of his 47 starts and currently rated 120 over fences. Gained his last win in a handicap chase at Kempton (2m 2f) in November when beating Prairie Town three quarters of a length off a mark of 117.

Trainer says

He is what he is and a great old horse who rarely runs a bad race. I must admit he was slightly disappointing at Sandown last time but a few horses ran bad that day not only my own but some other people and the horse that beat him the time before finished a long way behind him. They blamed the ground and I may as well do the same.

Form profile

Winner of one of his 21 starts and currently rated 132 over fences. Finished third, beaten 16 lengths, to Burbank when last seen out in a novices’ handicap chase at Newbury (2m 6 1/2f) in December off a mark of 133.

Trainer says

He is a horse we like a lot but he hasn’t won for us yet. He needs to up his game to three miles and hopefully he will run at Sandown on Saturday.

Form profile

Winner of four of his 26 starts and currently rated 127 over hurdles. Finished fifth, beaten 13 lengths, to Mill Green in a handicap hurdle at Sandown (2m) this month off a mark of 130.

Trainer says

He is another horse who we fancied last time who let us down. He ran a nice race first time at Sandown in December but they went a hellish gallop last time and whether we had to use him up keeping up with the pace I don’t know. I told Jamie to come up the stands side and whether he didn’t like being detached I don’t know too. He is better than he showed then.

Form profile

Winner of five of his 20 starts and currently rated 129 over hurdles and 124 over fences. Finished 10th, beaten 50 lengths, to Burrows Edge in the Listed Lanzarote Handicap Hurdle on latest start at Kempton (2m 5f) this month off a mark of 133.

Trainer says

He has been very disappointing – we tried him over fences and he didn’t really take to it but I don’t think he has been right all year. We will give him a bit more time and a little relenting from the handicapper wouldn’t be bad either. He is not a very well handicapped horse.

Form profile

Winner of two of his 11 starts and currently rated 127 over fences and 123 over hurdles. Finished fifth, beaten 40 lengths, to Baddesly Knight in a novices’ handicap chase at Wincanton (3m 1 1/2f) in November off a mark of 131.

Trainer says

He is another horse who has been slightly disappointing and I have a lot of time for him. He won’t be out for another couple of weeks.

Form profile

No wins from 12 starts and currently rated 117 over hurdles. Finished third, beaten 12 ½ lengths, to Guardia Top in a novice handicap hurdle at Sandown (2m) in December off his current mark.

Trainer says

He is a another horse we like a lot and is a born chaser. He was due to run at Fontwell on Sunday but didn’t eat up and we will save him for this week.

Form profile

Winner of two of his 10 starts and currently rated 120 over fences. Off the mark with a 18 length success from Vicenzo Mio at Plumpton (2m 3 1/2f) in December off a mark of 107 and followed up with a four and a half length victory from Templier at Fontwell (2m 2f) on Boxing Day under a 7lb penalty.

Trainer says

He’s a nice horse and he's done well this season, He got stuck in the mud at Lingfield the other day but that place is a law unto itself as far as the ground is concerned. You know what you are going to get and carrying topweight was too much on that ground and there is more to come from him.

Form profile

Winner of one of his 2 starts. Off the mark in a maiden hurdle at Fontwell (2m 3f) on Sunday when ploughing through the mud to beat Rookie Trainer four and a quarter lengths.

Trainer says

He is a nice horse who ran a very promising race first time out at Ascot and stepped up on that effort when winning at Fontwell (2m 3f) on Sunday.

Form profile

Winner of six of his 9 starts and currently rated 144 over hurdles. Winner of his three juvenile hurdles and scored by 11 lengths from Nordano in a juvenile hurdle at Ascot (1m 7 1/2f) on his latest in January.

Trainer says

He speaks for himself and he has won his three hurdle races and has never had a race yet and won by a total of 64 lengths for his three wins. They keep knocking him but I will let him do the talking. He wouldn’t want firm ground or good to firm ground but would be fine on good ground and we will see how far we can go with him.

Form profile

Winner of one of his 8 starts and currently rated 104 over hurdles. Finished fifth, beaten two and three quarter lengths, to Imperial Elysian in a novice handicap hurdle at Huntingdon (2m 3 1/2f) last Friday.

Trainer says

He was another who got stuck in the mud over two miles seven at Lingfield and pulled him out again but hadn’t given him time to recover at Huntingdon last Friday. He got took on early at Huntingdon the other day but still ran a great race and jumped the last in front and finished fifth. In my book he had too much weight but he is a genuine horse who will win more races.

Form profile

No wins from 5 starts and currently rated 115 over hurdles. Placed in his three hurdles this season and finished runner-up, beaten three and a half lengths, to Cat Tiger on his latest start at Plumpton (2m 4 1/2f) this month.

Trainer says

He is another very unlucky horse who keeps bumping into one and he runs in the novice handicap at Sandown on Saturday.

Form profile

Winner of three of his 32 starts and currently rated 100 over hurdles. Finished third, beaten 12 ½ lengths, to Fu Fu in a handicap hurdle at Fontwell (2m 5 1/2f) on Sunday.

Trainer says

He has been slightly disappointing but ran an ok race at Fontwell on Sunday when third in a handicap hurdle over two miles five and a half furlongs. He is a better horse on better ground.

Form profile

No wins from 5 starts and currently rated 120 over hurdles. Favourite and close up when falling four out in a maiden hurdle won by Cristal Spirit at Lingfield (2m 3 1/2f) this month.

Trainer says

He is a another genuine little horse and probably had his best chance at Lingfield the other day and fell. He probably run again this week.

Form profile

Winner of four of his 15 starts and currently rated 115 over hurdles. Scored by 15 lengths from Cogital at Fontwell (2m 1 1/2f) on Boxing Day on his latest start.

Trainer says

Hopefully he will run in the Betfair Hurdle if he gets in he need 20 to come out at the moment so it is looking a bit doubtful. If not he will go for a handicap hurdle at Huntingdon. It may be a bit ambitious but he is a horse we like a lot and in his last two races he has had to make his own running and that isn’t his style – he will be better being held up.

Form profile

Winner of three of his 15 starts and currently rated 112 over hurdles and 90 on the Flat. Has finished third in both of his hurdles and beaten nine lengths to Go Whatever latest at Plumpton (2m 4 1/2f) in November.

Trainer says

He is another horse who came off the Flat and he didn’t run a bad race for me at Plumpton in November but I got a feeling he just got stuck in the mud so we will give him a chance on decent ground.

Form profile

Winner of four of his 24 starts and currently rated 130 over hurdles and 126 over fences. Finished third, beaten 23 lengths, to Sam Brown in a novice chase at Lingfield (2m 7 1/2f) this month.

Trainer says

I stupidly bumped into that good horse of Anthony Honeyball’s, Sam Brown, at Lingfield last time and we chased him and tried to beat him. If I had him ridden to finish second he would have finished second and he is a decent horse who should be winning soon.

Form profile

Winner of three of his 15 starts and currently rated 121 over fences. Off the mark over fences when beating Eskendash half a length at Fakenham (2m 1/2f) last Thursday.

Trainer says

He finally broke his duck over fences at Fakenham with a very gutsy performance and he is a horse with a big heart who tries very hard. That is his level and he will continue to ply his trade at similar venues.

Form profile

Winner of two of his 21 starts and currently rated 121 over hurdles. Finished second, beaten seven lengths, to the heavily odds-on Grand Roi in a maiden hurdle at Fakenham (2m) last Thursday.

Trainer says

He is another really nice horse who I have a lot of respect for. He has been slightly unlucky and you have to put that down to me as we bumped into one of Nicky Henderson’s last week trying to give it 11lb and couldn’t do it.

Form profile

Winner of two of his 16 starts and currently rated 112 over hurdles, Finished runner-up, beaten a length and a half, to Sermano in a handicap hurdle at Huntingdon (2m 4 1/2f) on Friday.

Trainer says

He is a good horse and never runs a bad race. He keeps hitting the crossbar but by no fault of his own. He is the most genuine horse in the yard but has had the misfortune to bump into well handicapped horses. Two of Jonjo’s (O’Neill) have beaten him and Lightly Squeeze of Harry Fry’s and she went onto complete a hat trick last time. Badly placed by the trainer is more than likely!

Form profile

Winner of two of his 18 starts and currently rated 115 over hurdles. Finished fifth, beaten 12 lengths, to Flashy Glance in a handicap hurdle at Kempton (2m) in November off a mark of 117.

Trainer says

He is a nice horse who wants nice ground. He is a horse who I particularly like for the future and I think he will go Kempton on February 7.

Form profile

Winner of six of his 20 starts and currently rated 121 over fences. Finished fifth, beaten 12 ½ lengths, to Mercy Mercy Me in a handicap chase at Sandown (2m 4f) in January off a mark of 122.

Trainer says

He never runs a bad race and ran well at Sandown the other day on his first run back after a long break. He came there to have every chance at the last and either had too much weight or just needed the run but he runs at Wincanton this week.
