Verdict

Mirzimaan's effort on his nursery debut at York appeared too bad to be true and George Boughey's colt is much better judged on his couple of efforts prior, but the vote goes to EASY ANSWER. Down the field in the Coventry at Royal Ascot, his subsequent third at Salisbury was boosted by the winner landing the Flying Scotsman at Doncaster last week and an opening mark of 76 is more than fair. Catching Dreams has the most untapped potential and his yard is flying.

Watch out for: Catching Dreams (6)

A few in here are open to improvement, especially Godolphin's twice-raced handicap newcomer CATCHING DREAMS. He's run to a similar level in both previous starts and strikes as the sort to benefit from stepping up to 6f now from a fair opening mark. Improvement also seems likely. Soldier Of The Sea has run two good races since making a winning debut and he's eased in grade for this handicap debut. He rates the danger, although Sydney Grace finished a good second on her handicap debut and looks the type with more to offer as well now back on turf.
