William Haggas has trained two of the three winners of this race and has chances once again with Lorca's Waltz, a winner at Beverley in June but unplaced since. He can go well, as can Doncaster winner Echalar and Gloryous, who scored at Kempton on Wednesday, but the nod goes to SUDBURY HILL. A three-time winner, the latest at Salisbury last month which he followed with a second at the same track, he gets on well with Callum Rodriguez and his consistency gives Harry Derham's gelding the edge.

GLORYOUS arrives in good form after getting her head back in front at Kempton last time and this trip looks to suit him particularly well. She likes to race prominently and can go well again despite this looking a deeper contest. Sudbury Hill has been generally consistent and ran well when second at Salisbury last time, while his hurdling background suggests this extra distance should hold no fears. Lorca's Waltz disappointed when stepped up to 10f at Ayr but represents the yard that won this race last year and, with cheekpieces fitted for the first time, could have more to offer over this longer trip in the royal colours.
