Verdict

Inspired is bound to be popular having finished second in his two starts starts either side of a Hamilton success in July. That said, preference is for OLIVER SHOW, who was a close fourth in a valuable contest over 7f here a month ago, despite meeting with trouble in running. The return to a mile should not be a problem for the six-year-old and he is clearly on a workable mark. Others to consider are Masked Warrior, Principality and Drifts Away.

Watch out for: Inspired (11)

OLIVER SHOW has been in competitive form and was beaten only two lengths over 7f at this track last time, so can go well again from the same mark. He's going well here and the step up to a mile should do no harm, while the market may be worth watching for these connections. Inspired has been in very good form of late and, having won at Hamilton before finishing a creditable second in a stronger race at this level last time, can remain competitive from 1lb higher. Principality returned to winning ways to pick up a second success in three starts when scoring at Newmarket last time and, with only a 2lb rise, should go well again back at this level.
