Verdict

MISTER WHIPPY confirmed the promise that he displayed on debut when a close second at Newbury a couple of weeks ago. With further improvement likely, Ed Walker's gelding could be hard to beat on this occasion. George Cross bumped into a useful rival with previous race experience when runner-up on his racecourse bow at Ffos Las and he could prove to be the main threat to the selection. That said, Somerton and See The Mountain should not be discounted.

FLIGHT TRACKER was only narrowly denied on debut when beaten a head at Sandown by what appears to be a useful sort and sets a strong standard on that effort. His pedigree suggests he may ultimately want further than this, but he should improve for his first run and can open his account for the Juddmonte team. Mister Whippy built on his debut when runner-up at Newbury and is another who should progress stepping up in trip. See The Mountain also improved from his first start up in trip when fourth at Sandown and can continue to progress for Andrew Balding's yard, although Oisin Murphy has given up the ride to take up on an rival from a different stable in this contest.
