Christopher Head Stable Tour

The red-hot Chantilly trainer reveals his leading hopes for Deauville, his top two-year-olds plus a pair earmarked for Woodbine Grade 1s.

Of Christopher Head’s last 20 runners, only a trio have failed to finish in the first three, an exceptional strike rate especially given that nine of those horses were winners.

His Deauville meeting could not have got off to a better start, and he said: “Yes, it was indeed a good start. We came to Deauville with a nice team, a mix of proven horses and some promising newcomers.

“Those two-year-olds are great fun because they are the future. And it’s good for the English and Irish to come, so that we can see how good our two-year-olds really are. The meeting will teach us a lot about the autumn, which is what August is for.”

Here, the Chantilly trainer tells Liz Price of attheraces.com about his hopes for Deauville and the two-year-olds he is looking forward to testing against international opposition.
