David Pipe Stable Tour

Form profile

Winner of four of his nine starts and currently rated 147 over hurdles. Landed the Grade 1 Finale Juvenile Hurdle at Chepstow (2m) in January by two and a half lengths from Nassalam and subsequently finished runner-up in both the Grade 1 JCB Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham (2m 1f) and in the Grade 1 Doom Bar Hurdle at Aintree (2m).

Trainer says

He is in good form and has an entry in the Greatwood Hurdle at Cheltenham and he will also have an entry in the Fighting Fifth at Newcastle. We basically want to find out if he can step up to Champion Hurdle class. Obviously four-year-olds in their second season can struggle but he’s in good form and we will find out when we get him back on track. He did really well last year considering he came from a claimer and he was a great buy.

Form profile

Winner of one of his four bumpers in Ireland scoring on his debut at Fairyhouse in November.

Trainer says

He hasn’t been with us that long and has some decent form in bumpers in Ireland. We are hoping he will develop into a lovely staying chaser in time. We are still learning about him.

Form profile

No wins from 4four runs. Runner-up in a bumper and two novices’ hurdles last season. Finished eight lengths behind Smurphy Enki when last seen out at Plumpton (2m 4½f) in March.

Trainer says

He has picked up a bit on an injury and probably won’t be out until the second half of the season. He showed a fair bit of promise last season and has had a wind operation during the summer. We hope he is better than he has shown so far.

Form profile

Best effort in three bumpers when runner-up, beaten six lengths, to Mot A Mot at Chepstow in February.

Trainer says

He ran well in his bumper first time out and didn’t quite go on as he might have done. He has summered well and will go hurdling and we are hoping he will make a nice stayer. He should be out in November.

Form profile

Unraced.

Trainer says

He is an unraced horse by Kapgarde who is well bred and was a bit weak last year. He has strengthened up a lot during the summer and hopefully he will be out in a bumper at the backend of November.

Form profile

Winner of three of his seven starts and currently rated 148 over hurdles. Successful in handicap hurdles at Wincanton (2m 5½f) (scoring by nine lengths from Buckhorn George) and at Exeter (2m 7f) in February (beating Tommy Dreaper three and a half lengths).

Trainer says

He did well last season and loves the mud. It just dried out a bit too much at Cheltenham for him. He will probably go novice chasing this season and develop into a lovely staying chaser. He has been schooled over fences and jumps nicely. He will be out in November.

Form profile

Winner of one of his four starts and currently rated 119 over hurdles. Finished third, beaten 10 ½ lengths, to Killer Kane at Exeter (2m 1f) in March.

Trainer says

He was impressive when winning his bumper and looked good that day but the form didn’t work out well so he may not have beaten very much. His jumping wasn’t great last year but hopefully we have ironed that out this season. We will probably stay over hurdles and that’s the way we will go. He has a lot of natural talent and hopefully he can show us a lot more this season.

Form profile

Winner of two of his three point-to-points in Ireland in 2019.

Trainer says

He has been off with a leg injury but he is on the road back. He wants the mud and will stay all day. If he stays in one piece he will be nice horse for the future.

Form profile

Winning Irish point-to-pointer. Finished fifth in a bumper at Fontwell in May.

Trainer says

She had just the one run for us in a bumper at Fontwell at the backend of the season. The ground was plenty quick enough for her and she is another who wants the mud. She will start in a mares’ novices’ hurdle somewhere but she has strengthened up during the summer and has had a wind operation. Hopefully she will do well in mares races.

Form profile

Winner of three of his 16 starts and currently rated 130 over fences. Added to his score when beating Zambezi Fix a nose in a novices’ handicap chase at Chepstow (2m 3½f) in March off a mark of 126.

Trainer says

He is a little bit of an in and out performer and he ended last season with a win at Chepstow. He is a hard horse to predict but he’s a decent horse on his day and he likes the mud. Two and a half miles is probably his trip.

Form profile

Winner of six of his 32 starts and currently rated 124 over fences. Finished runner-up, beaten 10 lengths, to Exelerator Express in a handicap chase at Haydock (2m 3f) in May off a mark of 125 when last seen out.

Trainer says

He is still going and is in good form and retains all his enthusiasm even though he is ten-years-old now. He runs this weekend at Ascot and he usually needs his first run of the season so we will get him out. He usually mixes and matches hurdles and fences and he had a good season last year.

Form profile

Winner of three of his 15 starts and currently rated 135 over fences. Finished runner-up, beaten 10 lengths, to Grand Mogul when last seen out in a novices’ handicap chase at Kelso (2m 7½f) in May off a mark of 133.

Trainer says

He did well last year and we started over fences during the summer and he got placed a couple of times. He has had a holiday now and he goes on all types of ground. Anything from two and a half miles upwards.

Form profile

Winner of two of his four starts and currently rated 124 over hurdles. Ended last season with a nine and a half-length success from Anightinlambourn in a handicap hurdles at Sandown in March off a mark of 117.

Trainer says

He runs at Wetherby on Saturday if they get the rain. He was a bit of a raw individual last year and he has strengthened up a lot. He jumps nicely and is making up into a nice horse now and hopefully we will see him improve again over fences. After another summer’s break he could well improve again and is one for the future. He will start at two mile three and I am sure he will get three miles in time.

Form profile

Winner of one of his five starts and currently rated 115 over hurdles. Off the mark with a two-and-three-quarter length success from Rabski in a handicap hurdle at Newton Abbot (2m 5½f) in October off a mark of 112.

Trainer says

He won at Newton Abbot the other day and runs at Ascot on Saturday. He works well at home and anything from two and a half miles plus. He might not want the ground too soft but hopefully he will develop into the horse we thought he was last season this season.

Form profile

Winner of one of her two starts and currently rated 124 over hurdles. A winner of a fillies hurdle at Pau in December and runner-up, beaten four and a half lengths, to Bellatrixsa at Huntingdon (2m) in March on his stable debut.

Trainer says

She is a small filly but is very tough. She only ran once and finished second at Huntingdon last March. She likes the mud and we will start her off over two miles but I’m sure she will get a bit further. What she lacks in size she makes up in heart.

Form profile

Winner of two of his five starts and currently rated 117 over hurdles. Finished fourth, beaten four and a half lengths, to Castle Robin in a handicap hurdle at Cheltenham (2m 5f) in November off a mark of 115 on his only start last season.

Trainer says

He had the one run last year and picked up an injury and is on his way back. Hopefully, he will be out at the end of November – he has a lot of natural ability but isn’t the easiest horse to keep in one piece. There is more to come from him if we can get him back.

Form profile

Winner of two of his four bumpers. Gained his last success in a Listed bumper at Ascot in December 2019 when beating Soaring Glory a length and three quarters.

Trainer says

He picked up a tendon injury last year and missed a season. He is back cantering and won’t be out until Christmas time at the earliest. He has a lot of ability as he showed in his bumpers and hopefully he will be novice hurdling this season.

Form profile

Winner of two of his 15 starts and currently rated 120 over fences. Finished fourth, beaten seven and a half lengths, to Arian in a handicap chase at Newton Abbot (2m 5f) in October off a mark of 123.

Trainer says

He is a nice horse at home but he has been a little disappointing in this country after we claimed him in France. We might give him a run over hurdles to give him a bit of a confidence booster. Anything from two and a half miles plus will suit him I think.

Form profile

Winner of three of his six starts and currently rated 130 over hurdles. Disappointing in three starts in handicap hurdle company last season.

Trainer says

He won’t be out until the second half of the season. Things didn’t go to plan with him last season so we are hoping to get him back on track. He has a lot of ability and is well handicapped.

Form profile

Runner-up in his only point-to-point in Ireland in April.

Trainer says

He was bought at the sales and is a nice individual by Westerner. He does some nice work at home and we will probably start him off in a bumper and go hurdling afterwards.

Form profile

Rated 98 on the Flat. Formerly trained in Germany and having his first run for the stable when third, beaten 17 ½ lengths, to Leroy Leroy at Southwell in September of last year.

Trainer says

He is a talented individual but a bit quirky. He is still a novice hurdler and that’s what he will be doing this season. We will probably stick to two miles as he is an enthusiastic horse that can pull quite hard.

Form profile

Winner of a Point-to-Point bumper at Punchestown in March.

Trainer says

He did well to win a point-to-point bumper in Ireland and it was very soft that day. He has a high knee action and he will start in a bumper before probably going novice hurdling.

Form profile

Winner of 10 of his 39 starts and currently rated 139 over hurdles and 142 over fences. Finished third, beaten five and a quarter lengths, to Glory And Fortune in the Welsh Champion Hurdle at Ffos Las (2m) in October off a mark of 139.

Trainer says

He runs at Ascot on Saturday and ran well in the Welsh Champion hurdle the other day. He has been around forever but still has a lot of enthusiasm and he will pick up a nice pot somewhere this season. He is fully exposed and the handicapper knows where he is with him. We are claiming 3lb off with Fergus Gillard on Saturday.

Form profile

Winner of four of his 12 starts and currently rated 119 over fences and hurdles. Gained his last success in a handicap hurdle at Chepstow (2m 7½f) in January when beating Le Tueur three quarters of a length off a mark of 109.

Trainer says

We have had him since he was a three-year-old but he has taken a long time to come to hand. He had a fantastic season last season and I think he may have strengthened up again through the summer. He loves the mud and stays all day – he was going well in the Eider when coming down seven fences from home – he will go for long distance chases.

Form profile

Winner of three of his six starts and currently rated 133 over hurdles. Winner of a maiden hurdle at Exeter (2m 1f) in January by half a length from Karl Philippe and at the same course (2m 2 1/2f) in February when beating Solwara One a nose.

Trainer says

He had a good season last season and ran at Cheltenham but it was probably a bit too much for him at the time. He has summered well and we will start over hurdles with him and see what happens.

Form profile

Winner of one of his three starts. Off the mark with a two and a half lengths success from Silver Letters in a maiden hurdle at Wincanton (2m 4f) in March.

Trainer says

We gave him a wind operation after couple of disappointing runs and he bounced back with a win at Wincanton. He will start off over hurdles and we will see what happens and hopefully there is more to come from him.

Form profile

Winner of two of his three starts and currently rated 133 over hurdles. Last seen out when scoring by half a length from Kingsplace in a novice hurdle at Chepstow (2m 7½f) in March 2019.

Trainer says

He hasn’t raced for a while which is frustrating but he could develop into a lovely three-mile chaser if he keeps in one piece. He did well in bumpers and hurdles when last seen on a racecourse.

Form profile

Winner of one of his six starts. Successful in a bumper at Stratford in June when trained by Lucy Wadham. Finished runner-up, beaten a length and a half, to Cu Chulainn in a novice event on the Flat at Kempton (1m 3f) in October for current stable.

Trainer says

He hasn’t won for us but has run well on the Flat. He didn’t cost much but is by Dubawi and should handle soft ground. Hopefully, he can progress into a nice horse over hurdles.

Form profile

Winner of three of her 10 starts and currently rated 121 over hurdles. Creditable fourth, beaten four and a quarter lengths, to Kansas City Chief in a handicap hurdle at Cheltenham (3m) last weekend off her current mark.

Trainer says

She tried three miles the other day at Cheltenham and seemed to get the trip. The ground was fairly good and she might prefer softer. She came back with a nasty cut that might keep her off course for a bit but two and half miles plus over hurdles and next season she will jump fences.

Form profile

Winner of seven of his 30 starts and rated 147 over fences and 144 over hurdles. Finished third, beaten 31 lengths, to Ballymillsy in a handicap hurdle at Newton Abbot (3m 2½f) in October off a mark of 147.

Trainer says

He had a good opener at Newton Abbot the other day and he will improve for that. He will probably go to France for the French Champion Hurdle in November. He is in the grip of the handicapper and is probably going to be hard to place but we will pick up as much prize money as we can with him.

Form profile

No wins from three starts and currently rated 115 over hurdles. Finished third, beaten eight and a half lengths, to Champagne Rhythm when last seen out in a novices’ hurdle at Chepstow (2m 3½f) in February.

Trainer says

He is a big horse who just had just an in between season last time and was place in a couple of novice hurdles. He will develop into a three miler and he has strengthened up a lot and we will probably goes over fences with him over two and a half miles plus.

Form profile

Winner of five of his 17 starts and currently rated 146 over fences. Completed a hat trick over fences last season when beating Demachine four lengths in the Grade 2 Reynoldstown Novices’ Chase at Ascot (3m) in February.

Trainer says

We had a good season with him last season and he won the Grade 2 Reynoldstown at Ascot. He probably didn’t quite get the three-mile six trip at Cheltenham. He has an entry in the Ladbroke Handicap at Newbury but we would like to get a run into him first. The softer the better for him to see him at his best.

Form profile

Winner of nine of his 40 starts and currently rated 145 over fences. Gained his last success when beating Schiehallion Munro 12 lengths at Musselburgh (2m 4½f) in January off a mark of 138 when trained by Dan Skelton.

Trainer says

We bought him at the sales and he hasn’t run for us yet but he looks to be a two and a half miler. We will probably try him at three miles at some point but he has got some good form in the book and is a Saturday horse for his owners.

Form profile

Winner of two of his 11 starts on the Flat and currently rated 65. Scored over middle distance at Carlisle and Catterick when trained by Grant Tuer.

Trainer says

He ran for us at Newbury the other day and was disappointing. Apparently, he had ulcers so we are treating his ulcers now and he can bounce back. He will go over hurdles now and he has schooled nicely and will be out in a few weeks time.

Form profile

Winner of two of his 16 starts and currently rated 114 over hurdles. Gained his last success in a handicap hurdle at Kelso (2m 6½f) in April off a mark of 111 when trained by Keith Dalgleish.

Trainer says

He was another bought at the sales who hasn’t run for us yet. Hopefully, he can develop into a nice three-mile chaser for his owners. He has some decent form in the book and we might mix hurdles and fences. The Lads come from up North so we might be travelling with him.

Form profile

Winner of six of his 15 starts and currently rated 150 over fences and 135 over hurdles. Finished seventh, beaten 35 lengths, to Bardenstown Lad in a novices’ hurdle at Cheltenham (3m) on his reappearance in October.

Trainer says

He ran over hurdles the other day and just got a bit tired late on. He has an entry in the Paddy Power and that’s where he will head next. He will be back over two and a half miles which will probably suit him better as well.

Form profile

Fourth on his only start in a bumper at Southwell in May.

Trainer says

He ran for us in a bumper last year and finished fourth. He has had a wind operation and has strengthened up and he will go novice hurdling at some point but won’t be out for a while.

Form profile

Winner of six of his 14 starts and currently rated 148 over fences and 139 over hurdles. Completed a hat trick over fences last season when beating Killer Charm a length in the Grade 3 Greatwood Gold Cup Chase at Newbury (2m 4f) in March off a mark of 144.

Trainer says

He ran in the Welsh Champion Hurdle the other day and was running nicely and just starting to creep into it when making a bad mistake three out which put paid to his chance. I think he will mix and match over hurdles and fences and probably anything from two miles to two and half.
