Form profile

Winner of two of his 17 starts and currently rated 87. Finished 16th, beaten only five and a half lengths, to Mountain Peak in a handicap at Ascot (5f) this month off a mark of 90.

Trainer says

He is a horse we quite like and he was probably a little unlucky not to win at Epsom. We have tried him over five and six and he will revert to six now with the Stewards’ Cup a possibility, but he has a few entries and York would be an option too.

Form profile

Winner of four of his 27 starts and currently rated 95. Returned to winning form at Redcar (1m) on Sunday when beating Encourageable a length off his current mark.

Trainer says

Azano won at Redcar at the weekend, and it was great to see him bounce back to form. He will be given an entry in the Pomfret at the weekend at Pontefract and if the ground is good it is likely he will go there.

Form profile

Winner of six of his 25 starts and currently rated 101. Finished eighth, beaten five and three quarter lengths, to Dark Shift in the Royal Hunt Cup at Royal Ascot (1m) in June off a mark of 103 when trained by Jessica Harrington.

Trainer says

He is an ex-Jessica Harrington trained horse we bought at the July Sales. He ran well in the Hunt Cup, and he is entered for the weekend. He is a horse that could go well at Ascot in the Balmoral Handicap later in the year.

Form profile

Winner of six of his 16 starts and currently rated 95. Scoring for the third time this season when beating Indigo Times, a neck at Newmarket (1m 6f) on Saturday off his current mark.

Trainer says

He is a progressive horse from a very good family that we know well. They get better with age, and he won at York and has won his last two starts. The Ebor would be a possibility.

Form profile

Winner of seven of his 48 starts and currently rated 83. Finished eighth of nine, beaten eight and three quarter lengths, to Substantial in a handicap at Haydock (7f) in June off a mark of 85 when last seen in action.

Form profile

Winner of six of his 59 starts and currently rated 105. Best effort this season when scoring by a neck from Oo De Lally on his reappearance in a handicap at York (7f) in May off a mark of 104.

Trainer says

He loves Goodwood, and we are targeting the Goodwood Mile Handicap with him.

Form profile

Winner of seven of his 22 starts and currently rated 110. Has proved a revelation this season and has won four of his 5 starts and climbed from a rating of 91 to his present mark. Landed the Copper Horse Handicap at Royal Ascot (1m 6f) in June by a length and a quarter from Cleveland off a mark of 99 and followed up with a length and a half success from Enfranchise in the Old Newton Cup at Haydock (1m 4f) this month off a mark of 105.

Trainer says

He has had a fantastic season so far and won the Copper Horse Handicap at Royal Ascot over a mile and six and then won the Old Newton Cup at Haydock over a mile and a half. He has plenty of options and the Ebor is the next one and we then might travel him later on in the year. It often happens with a French horse that they take a bit of time to acclimatise but this year he has hit the ground running.

Form profile

Winner of eight of his 69 starts and currently rated 100. Best effort in two runs this term when third, beaten a length, to Asjad on his reappearance at York (6f) in May off his current mark.

Trainer says

As he gets older, he probably has a slight preference for a bit of ease in the ground. I don’t think we will see him at his best just yet but hopefully he will go to York at the weekend, there is a race at Goodwood and then there’s the Ayr Gold Cup and those type of things.

Form profile

Winner of seven of his 44 starts and currently rated 91. Finished fifth, beaten three and a half lengths, to Ventura Rascal at Pontefract (1m) on Friday.

Trainer says

He had a fantastic start to the season and was quite busy and just levelled off. He came back to form at the weekend and there are races coming up at Ripon for him in August and September. He likes Ripon.

Form profile

Trainer says

He has not hit the heights of last season just yet, but he did his best work in the autumn last year and we are hoping it might happen that way again. He will go to York this weekend and then the Ebor meeting - it’s a track he likes.

Form profile

Winner of three of his 32 starts and currently rated 87. Finished runner-up, beaten two and a quarter lengths, to Gweedore at Ayr (1m) this month off his current mark.

Trainer says

He is a horse that has been knocking on the door. He doesn’t win very often but is very consistent. He is in at Ascot at the weekend and will hopefully get his head in front pretty soon.

Form profile

Winner of three of his 22 starts and currently rated 81. Finished fourth, beaten two and a half lengths, to Jean Baptiste at Hamilton (1m 1f) on Thursday.

Trainer says

He is another that came from France last season and didn’t fire immediately but seems in much better form this time. He won at Beverley and ran well at York. His owners are from York, and we might try and get him back there later in the season.

Form profile

Winner of four of his 24 starts and currently rated 104. Best most recent effort when third, beaten a length, to Inver Park in the Buckingham Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot (7f) in June when wearing a tongue tie for the first time racing off a mark of 103.

Trainer says

He was very unlucky in the Goodwood Mile last year and that would be a target and he is in the International at Ascot at the weekend. He was a little unlucky at Royal Ascot and has the capability of winning one of those big handicaps. It was very fast ground in the Bunbury Cup, and you can put a line through that run.

Form profile

Winner of four of his 28 starts and currently rated 102. Finished fifth, beaten six lengths, to Saleymm at York (7f) in July.

Trainer says

He had a setback earlier in the year and has only had one run so far. The plan is the Goodwood Mile and the Clipper Logistics at York. He has had a run and we were pleased with that comeback and, hopefully, he can step forward.

Form profile

Winner of one of his 19 starts and currently rated 76. Has finished runner-up in his last two starts and failed by only a short head behind Marlay Park at Epsom (7f) last week off a mark of 74.

Trainer says

It has taken us a little while to figure him out, but he has been beaten narrowly in his last two runs. Hopefully, he can get his head in front sooner rather than later and then we can kick on from there. We have been unlucky not to get a win into him so far.

Form profile

Winner of 13 of his 66 starts and currently rated 100. Finished fifth, beaten three and three quarter lengths, to Rohaan in the Wokingham Handicap at Royal Ascot (6f) in June.

Trainer says

She has been fantastic so far for us this season and has been progressive. She was very impressive when winning the Listed Pipalong Stakes at Pontefract and we will try and win a Group race with her now. He options are the Valiant at Ascot on Saturday or the Oak Tree at Goodwood.

Form profile

Winner of seven of his 53 starts and currently rated 98. Finished fifth, beaten four and a quarter lengths, to Eilean Dubh in a handicap at York (1m) this month off a mark of 99.

Trainer says

He has been running well this season on ground that would have been quicker than ideal. He is in good from and when we get a bit of rain, he will win a big handicap.

Form profile

Winner of two of his 12 starts and currently rated 70. Finished runner-up, beaten a neck, to Sir Maxi in a handicap at Beverley (7 1/2f) last week.

Trainer says

He is a very honest progressive sort who always runs his race. He was just touched off a Beverley recently, but we go to Sandown this week where has already run very well this season. Hopefully, he will be winning again.

Form profile

Winner of one of his 7 starts and currently rated 74. Best run this term at Beverley (7 1/2f) in June when runner-up, beaten a neck, to Proud Archi off his current mark.

Trainer says

He is a horse we like, and everything hasn’t dropped right for him yet. He was unlucky not to win at Beverley and things didn’t go right at Epsom. Whether he didn’t handle the course or what, but he has a bit of scope off his handicap mark.

Form profile

Winner of one of his 8 starts and currently rated 95. Finished third, beaten six lengths, to Erevann in a Group 3 contest at Chantilly (1m) in June.

Trainer says

Winner of one of his 8 starts and currently rated 95. Finished third, beaten six lengths, to Erevann in a Group 3 contest at Chantilly (1m) in June.

Form profile

Winner of one of her 5 starts and currently rated 93. Best effort this season when finishing third, beaten two and three quarter lengths, to Fonteyn in a listed race at York (1m) in May.

Trainer says

She is a very good filly who we pitched into Listed company earlier on in her career and she finished third at York. She found the ground a little too quick in her last two starts and she will have a little break and comeback for black type races in the autumn.

Form profile

Winner of one of her 7 starts and currently rated 88. Finished fifth, beaten four and three quarter lengths, to Oscula in a listed event at Carlisle (7f) in June.

Trainer says

She is another who will be suited by softer ground so we will just have to be a little patient with her. She looks like a filly who is capable of getting black type. Hopefully she will be fresh and well for the softer ground in the autumn.

Form profile

Winner of one of her 5 starts and currently rated 78. Finished sixth, beaten six and three quarter lengths, to Lezoo in a listed Fillies contest at Newmarket (6f) in June.

Trainer says

She is a filly who has a preference for soft ground and was second in at Haydock in soft. She is a filly who we think is capable of getting a bit of black type when she gets some cut in the ground.

Form profile

Winner of one of his 2 starts. Off the mark with a three quarter length success from Perfect Play at Ayr (7f) on Monday.

Trainer says

He is a horse we quite like and he was working well before his debut but ran a bit green. He still didn’t look the finished article when winning at Ayr on Monday and can only improve further with experience.

Form profile

Winner of two of her 4 starts and currently rated 100. Winner of her first two starts at Thirsk and Sandown in May (Scored by a neck from Crispy Cat in the Listed National Stakes) and creditable effort when third, beaten three lengths, to Dramatised in the Group 2 Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot (5f) in June. Disappointing favourite when only eighth, beaten six lengths, to Eddie’s Boy in the Super Sprint at Newbury (5f) on Saturday.

Trainer says

She has a fantastic start to the season winning the National Stakes and being placed in the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot. She was only eighth in the Super Sprint at Newbury which was a tough race, but she could step up to six furlongs in the Lowther Stakes at York.

Form profile

Finished ninth of 15, beaten eight and a quarter lengths, to Mill Stream on his debut at Doncaster (6f) in July.

Trainer says

She is a well-bred filly and we trained the dam who was very good for us. She made her debut at Doncaster, but she was quite green and finished midfield. She is likely to improve for that run.

Form profile

Winner of one of his 3 starts and rated 74. Off the mark with a length and a half success from Santabella at Hamilton (5f) in June.

Trainer says

He was unlucky on his debut where he was short of room and improved on that at Hamilton next time. He ran in midfield in the Super Sprint but is just a raw sort of growing-while-racing sort of horse.

Form profile

Winner of four of her 6 starts and currently rated 86. Gained her last success in the Hilary Needler Stakes at Beverley (5f) in May when beating Primrose Ridge three quarters of a length.

Trainer says

She is incredibly tough and showed that again when winning at Musselburgh on Tuesday. She has been fantastic for her owners, and we will see if we can get some black type with her.
