Verdict

A step up in trip and aggressive tactics proved the perfect combination when BERGAMO GOLD made all at Lingfield recently. The daughter of Ten Sovereigns scored with something in hand and she's fancied to make light work of a 6lb penalty. Risk Averse Rebel didn't enjoy the best of luck here four days ago when his rider briefly lost an iron deep into the contest and he's entitled to build on that third-placed effort. Family Values looks best of the rest.

This should go to BERGAMO GOLD, who improved for the step up to this trip when scoring with loads in hand at Lingfield last time. He's penalised now and has plenty of weight but should prove progressive enough to follow up. Lapidarist has been consistent enough over 8f and been shaping as though this trip may suit, so could emerge as the threat, although No Drama Mama didn't have things go to plan on handicap debut and now gets to tackle a longer trip. Expect a bigger effort from her here.
