Verdict

Although unable to justify favouritism on his stable bow at Lingfield last month, WISETANCK lost little in defeat when second to a progressive rival. A 1lb ease in the ratings may prove to be lenient for Richard Hughes' colt and compensation could be imminent. Whizzy Dizzy was beaten just under a length over C&D last time and she rates the biggest threat, ahead of Liverpool Star.

WISETANCK has shown herself to be a consistent sort since sent handicapping and there was little wrong with her stable debut when runner-up to a really progressive sort at Lingfield last time. Well drawn in 5, she's taken to get off the mark fitted first-time cheekpieces. Whizzy Dizzy was probably made a little bit too much use of last time and she retains potential with the smart Harry Vigors and his 7lb claim. Far Too Fizzy was a little too keen last time over 6f and is worth another shot at this shorter trip. He's third choice.
