Verdict

GALBA's third-placed finish over 7f here last month was arguably his best effort yet and he should have more to offer on just his second try over a mile. With the rest arriving with something to prove, this could be a good bit of placement for the son of Lope Y Fernandez to strike on his debut for new connections. The fitting of blinkers may draw some improvement from Santiago Boy on his handicap bow, while Sogniamo is one to keep an eye on.

GALBA is on a generous mark based on her best novice form and is fancied to build on a promising placed effort here last time off this mark. The way he finished that day suggested that this step back up in distance could see him shed his maiden tag. Novice winner Sogniamo will need a stiff test to figure down in trip but could pose a big threat if getting it while Santiago Boy is of interest at a bigger price. He is yet to encounter turf but did shape well over 7f on the AW in the spring and the blinkers go on for his handicap bow.
