Verdict

Having been drawn in stall 10 here last time, HEATHEN was far from disgraced when finishing a never-nearer third. That was only his second start for current connections and compensation could be on the horizon given his more favourable draw. Imperial Sovereign is effectively 7lb lower than his most recent fourth at York if taking Donagh Murphy's claim into account and he's feared most, ahead of Gaelic Approach, who was too bad to be true at Carlisle last time.

Watch out for: Imperial Sovereign (2)

There are a couple of 3yos with potential here, namely GAELIC APPROACH, who was on an upward curve until blowing out at Carlisle last time. He was well backed that day but didn't find for pressure. Many from the yard show an ability to bounce back and this one could do just that. Mudita was a cheap purchase but she's made a really good start to her career and the new, longer trip here could suit. Venezuelan ran well over 2m at the course last time and looks best of the older runners down in trip.
