WITNESS STAND finished a head second in this race 12 months ago behind Holguin before winning a Goodwood Group 2. His form last summer reads well in the context of this race and he was back to something like his best last time at Epsom, when a head second again to subsequent Queen Anne Stakes winner Ten Bob Tony in the Tattenham Corner. The C&D winner makes more appeal than Myal and Tiber Flow.
Witness Stand is coming off a fine run in a Group 3 at Epsom on his first outing since a wind op and he should again go well here, but TIBER FLOW is taken to overcome an absence instead. He's proven fresh, running a fine race at Haydock on last season's return, and although not seen since, he's got a handy draw in stall 2. Northern Champion, down from Group 1 level, and Five Ways, stepping up beyond 6f for the first time, are others to consider.
