Verdict

HALLANDALE BEACH had plenty in hand when scoring over C&D in June and the son of Havana Grey is hard to oppose on the back of that performance, despite an 8lb rise. Red Snapper bounced back to form when winning at Salisbury recently and another good run can be expected from him. Neither of Eightthreeone or Pull The Rug can be discounted based on the pick of their form.

Pull The Rug ran well enough in a little handicap with a number of horses on beneficial marks and should run her race again here, but it is very difficult to look past HALLANDALE BEACH who gives the impression he'll outclass these. He is quite a nice type and quickened away to win easing down last time. This mark is much stiffer but seems unlikely to stop him following up. Eightthreeone has lost his form and Red Snapper is probably third best having got back to form with a win last time in blinkers. He's a pretty modest performer though and there is no guarantee he'll be quite so enthusiastic in them second time around.
