Verdict

JANE OF THE JUNGLE outran her odds of 20/1 when touched off over the minimum distance at Southwell last week and, provided the quick turnaround doesn't cause her too many problems, she will prove hard to beat. A Lott Of Kane occupied the runner-up berth at Chelmsford on the same day and is likely to play a leading role, while handicap debutant Maid In Devon is far from out of it.

None of these appeal as being solid so it could be worth chancing handicap debutante MAID IN DEVON, who only looked ordinary in three qualifying runs but is from a good stable and related to their highly progressive Listed winner Adaay In Devon. She must be able to get competitive from an opening mark of 54. Woody Y Fernandez is exposed but considered on the form of his penultimate third and he is starting out for a new stable. Jane Of The Jungle is coming off a good run a Southwell but needs to show it can be repeated here so it's A Lott Of Kane who is put forward as the third choice. He ran better last time and can go well again if settling.
