Verdict

There are some potential improvers on show, with MAGI MELCHIOR topping the bill. Richard Hannon's colt shaped with promise on his fourth-placed debut at Newbury and this looks slightly easier. Sovereigns High did little wrong when third at Kempton and a switch to turf shouldn't pose any issues for the son of Ten Sovereigns. Mithaaly fetched 260,000gns and he's the most appealing of the newcomers.

Mithaaly has an appealing profile and is a newcomer to take very seriously for his god yard, but MAGI MELCHIOR showed plentty on his Newbury debut, finishing a good fourth of ten, and normal progress from that can see her go close here. Sovereigns High, third over this trip at Kempton on debut, is another worth of consideration for his in-form yard with progress likely.
