Verdict

Although there are just the three runners in this opener, none can be ruled out in their current fettle. JAIJAI opened his account at the third time of asking when making all at Goodwood and an opening mark of 84 seems workable. Fellow handicap debutant Terminology scored a shade cosily on her most recent outing at Lingfield and is unlikely to be far away, while Undercover Affair is only 1lb higher than his close-up third at Nottingham.

Terminology showed a good attitude to get off the mark at Lingfield and she almost certainly has more to offer for her good connections now handicapping, but JAIJAI created a good impression when scoring at the third attempt at Goodwood and he's taken to defy an opening mark of 84. Undercover Affair is a solid type but much more exposed and the least likely of the three to win.
