Verdict

Although a faller on his racecourse debut at Cork in December, TIME IS A THIEF bounced back to win his maiden hurdle in fine style at Tramore last month and is taken to follow up in this rated hurdle. Henry de Bromhead's six-year-old is certainly the most unexposed runner in the field and he may well improve past the likes of three-time winner Colcannon, who was a beaten favourite in a novice hurdle at the Punchestown Festival. Moon Mission came good when successful in a rated novice hurdle at Cork, while Berto Ramirez won a maiden hurdle at Down Royal. Immutable has shown his best form on soft and heavy ground.

COLCANNON was a Grade 2 winner in bumpers and gained a deserved victory on his penultimate start. He will find this much easier than his latest run at Punchestown where he was too keen and he should be able to defeat the unexposed Berto Ramirez. The dual purpose performer was a ready winner last time and is well treated on these terms on his Listed form. Useful chaser Ifiwerearichman is the class angle in the race and can also play a part if fit after an absence.
