AMERICAN BEAUTY has thrived on the Highveld, winning twice at this level. She was a game-in-defeat second last time at a higher level and need only repeat that effort off a 2-point higher mark to go one better. FIRE IN HER SOUL, FISH HAWK and BEAUTIFUL RANIA are held by that rival on recent form but are weighted to pose more of a threat. LADY ELLIOT has dropped to a competitive mark and is better off at the weights so she could give the selection most to fear. Improving TRIP OF FAITH has had the form of her last-start victory franked by three subsequent winners, so she cannot be taken lightly.
