Verdict

STEEL PIER deserves to get his head in front after back-to-back recent seconds and won't have to improve much to open his account. KWAITO has shown enough to pose a threat and remains open to improvement over this extended trip. ELISA MBALI has the form and experience to make her presence felt. Highveld newcomer CLOSE ENCOUNTER is another with scope for improvement so has to be respected. MISS DUTTON and MFULATHELA appeal most of the remainder.
