Verdict

SWORD OF LIGHT stayed on well to finish a close-up 2nd over 1600m last time and need only confirm that improvement over this extended trip to go one better. LIFE AND LETTERS and LANTERI also filled the runners-up berth recently and should have roles to play with similar efforts. However, a bigger threat will likely come from experienced versatile maiden COMIC ARTIST whose rider's 1.5kg allowance stands her in good stead. NICCI'S LAW made a pleasing Highveld debut and should improve to make her presence felt.
