NO MORE PORTER has decent each-way claims in an ultra-competitive affair. Largely consistent in recent starts, the Ado McGuinness-trained gelding should enjoy the big field and likely fast pace. While he will need plenty luck in-running, the eight-year-old will be at his best weaving a passage through runners and, provided he gets the gaps where it matters, he can belatedly land a fourth career win. Only One Scobie was an all-the-way winner at Killarney last time. Having been raised 8lb by the handicapper, the Paul Flynn-trained gelding won't find it easy here but has to be respected. Lightly-raced Leopardstown maiden winner Halon Bay is also worthy of consideration.
DALER has been running well in defeat since his June success at Leopardstown and looks interesting back over a mile from just 1lb lower than when close fifth at Galway last time. He is versatile regarding ground and remains on a competitive mark, so can go well again out of stall 2 in this large field. Zaraahmando was only caught late at Galway after racing freely and should remain competitive from the same mark if settling better, while No More Porter returned to form when third, beaten two lengths at the Curragh and has the conditions to go well again despite a modest strike-rate.
