Having shaped with promise on his latest two starts, THOMPSON GUNNER can make the breakthrough on turf. A previous winner at Dundalk, the Cian Hughes-trained gelding is well handicapped on that form, while the presence of Colin Keane in the saddle is a definite plus. Another who has shown his best form on an artificial surface, Moyassr has to be respected on his stable debut for Ado McGuinness. Having landed a first win on the grass at Fairyhouse in May, the five-year-old ran well on a couple of subsequent starts. Bellewstown scorer Micasso hasn't reproduced that form of late but has to be of interest in a moderate affair.
THOMPSON GUNNER has been in generally good form and was better than the bare result beaten only three lengths at Cork last time, so should remain competitive from the same mark. Pinball Wizard has a dangerous-looking mark on his old form and could bounce back with a first-time tongue-tie after a break, while Suerte is better judged on his previous form after completely missing the start at Bellewstown and can also rebound to the form that saw him beaten less than two lengths at Leopardstown on his penultimate start.
