Runner-up in the Spring Mile at Doncaster last time, FAR FROM DANDY can go one place better. The Stephen Thorne-trained gelding had previously run a huge race when staying on late to finish fourth in the Irish Lincoln at the Curragh. Freshened up since that latest run, the four-year-old should be spot on for this assignment. Red Charlie, who suffered a nightmare passage when second over 7f at the Curragh, holds every chance and is noted along with Cork winner Final Voyage.
RED CHARLIE looked unlucky on his follow up attempt over 7f last time meeting trouble at a key stage. He's only gone up another 3lb for that and the way he finished off the race suggested that he'll have more to offer over this extra distance. He can defeat the admirably consistent Far From Dandy who is just 1lb higher than when runner up in the Spring Mile last time. Fast Tara hasn't won in 3 years but she returned to her best form when upped to 1m last time and holds fair claims if in the same form here.
