Verdict

PERISHER came out best in a duel to the line over a mile at Gowran last month. He suggested this extra test of stamina would suit in the process and Joseph O'Brien's charge is taken to edge out Pierre Grosse, who finished an encouraging third at Leopardstown on his reappearance and will likely have a say in the outcome. Curragh winner Galileo Noir could be in the mix if proving as effective on faster going.

Perisher sets the standard on form following his game victory last time over 1m. The way he powered up the hill that day suggested that 10f could bring further improvement so he is respected. However GOLDDREAM looked very useful when springing a surprise on the AW last time and could follow up on his turf debut. His breeding has plenty of stamina in it so he ought to relish this longer distance and the drying ground should also help. Freedom And Light left her previous form behind when upped to this trip last time and may do best of the remainder.
