Form Snapshot: Half-brother to Scarfo, won at 7f.
92 Expert View: Game effort looked beaten on merit though up to 6f 8l third in a maiden at The Curragh most recent run; effective 5f, probably gets further, acts heavy and soft but better ground would suit action; very useful sprint prospect.
Form Snapshot: Full brother to Shelton, won at 7f. Unplaced in both starts. Third of 7 behind Great Barrier Reef beaten 8l at 3-1 on his latest outing at Curragh over 6f (soft) last month.
102 Expert View: Yard won this last year; caught too far back through inexperience, finished best runner-up beaten a nose in a maiden at The Curragh only start; top course trainer; sprint-bred; big, attractive colt, undone by inexperience debut, will do better.
Form Snapshot: Half-brother to Alfareqa, won at 7f. Beaten a nose by Lars Soldier when second of 8 at 5-4 on his racecourse debut at Curragh over 5f (soft - heavy) last month.
78 Expert View: 21 Apr; The Irish Rover gelding; half-brother to Charles Atlas, fair at 5f; dam useful handicapper at 5f; tough enough task on debut.
Form Snapshot: Dam won five times at 5f.
84 Expert View: Yard has won 2 of last 7 runnings of race; 27 Apr; 150,000gns Sioux Nation colt; full-brother to Lakota Seven, smart at 7f; top course jockey; likely type on debut.
Form Snapshot: Full brother to Great Warrior, won at 1m.
80 Expert View: Lost all chance start well beaten in a maiden at The Curragh only start; sprint-bred; debut was a write-off, should do better for that experience.
Form Snapshot: Half-brother to Catch Cunningham, won three times at 5f. Well beaten at 12-1 behind Lars Soldier when last of 8 on his racecourse debut at Curragh over 5f (soft - heavy) last month.
79 Expert View: 6 Mar; No Nay Never filly; half-sister to Nation's Call, smart at 8f; dam high-class at 8f and won second time out; trainer in form; of interest.
Form Snapshot: Half-sister to Man Of Worth, won at 6f.
Bull Shark is highly thought of, but was beaten the best part of eight lengths into third over this trip at the Curragh last month and he needs to do more. CONFUCIUS could be yet another Aidan O'Brien-trained winner after finishing a nose second on debut. With that experience under his belt, victory is eagerly anticipated. Dermot Weld's Luca Brillante is a newcomer to watch as a daughter of No Nay Never out of a Group 3 winner.
CONFUCIUS is a strong selection here. He was caught too far back on debut due to experience but flew home to fill the runner up position. He is bred to be useful and should relish this step up in distance. Bull Shark has shaped well on both of his starts so far and showed a willing attitude last time. He looks the chief threat while expensive purchase Selwyn appeals most of the newcomers for a top trainer/jockey combination.
