A most disappointing turnout for a race of its standing, 4 runners reduced to 3 when Chacun Pour Soi was withdrawn lame, and Envoi Allen left with little to beat, which he managed in no more than workmanlike style and an ordinary time, the closing stages passing in slow motion (finishing speed 93.7% from 2 out). The form may not amount to much.
ENVOI ALLEN (c163 here and previously) was found a remarkably easy opportunity but still made rather heavy work of it, and is unlikely to trouble the best two-milers on this showing, leading/disputing and having a race on his hands until the runner-up cracked after 2 out (which Envoi Allen got wrong), a length or 2 up at the last and ridden to go clear.
BATTLEOVERDOYEN (c153 here, 155 previously) had won at 23f the time before but coped with the drop in trip well until caving in late on, disputing the pace with the winner much of the way (jumped right at times) and giving him a race until weakening approaching the last, not unduly knocked about on the run-in.
SIZING POTTSIE (c0 here, 150 previously) ran a lifeless race, in third from an early stage, losing touch 4 out and well behind when unseating at the second-last.
