Despite being more exposed than the majority of these, BANKS OF THE BOYNE can land a deserved first success. Runner-up in a Fairyhouse maiden that has worked out well, Michael Mulvany's charge has subsequently acquitted himself with credit in handicap company. An official rating of 79 sets a fair standard and the son of Space Traveller gets the nod. The Green Helmet took a step forward when finishing third at Sligo earlier this month and deserves consideration, while Togetherwearefree is an interesting newcomer worth noting.
BANKS OF THE BOYNE looks the solid option here. He sets the standard on his pair of runner up efforts earlier in the summer and he has an experience edge on his rivals. With the step back up in distance in his favour he is picked ahead of The Green Helmet whose latest placed effort has been franked. He has plenty of speed in his pedigree though so this longer trip isn't certain to suit. Romance was unsuited by the soft ground last time but has place claims if back to the level of her debut run.
