Roger Varian has his team in great nick and KOKBASTAU is fancied to provide the Newmarket handler with further success. He pulled clear with the runner-up, who was allotted a handicap mark of 92, when recording a novice win at Southwell so could be feasibly treated. After just three career starts, he's open to bags of improvement. Fellow Southwell victor Forever Penywern looks a big threat and so does The Green Mile, who picked up well to score over 1m3f here.
KOKBASTAU showed plenty of promise in his first three starts and got off the mark when narrowly scoring by a neck at Southwell last time. He could have more to offer now making his handicap debut. The Green Mile has won two of his last three starts, so also arrives in good form after scoring over 11f here by half a length off a 6lb lower mark last time, while Forever Penywern returned from a spell over hurdles to complete a hat-trick in this sphere with a convincing Southwell success and is seeking another win facing a 6lb rise.
